I don't know about any river, but it is on the ocean.
LOL. I'm assuming what we cross when we go over the bridge is some sort of river. I'm looking at Boricua's map, and I'm wondering is it going towards Dollhouse or the opposite direction.
Coming from Jaragua and heading west, the streetwalker stroll on the Malecon starts at the gas station on the west side of Vesuvios restaurant and goes on to Feria (Churchill). It's well known, been there for decades, and it is impossible to miss unless you are Ray Charles. Even he would hear the girls yelling. There is no mystery.
Yes, Sosua is a good bet for as long as a guy finds it interesting. For some that will be one night or less and for others it is years. That about sums it up.

Santo Do has theirs of course and several of the well known, if not overpriced places, are on or near this road. Travelling northeast with the ocean on your right along the Malecon will have you pass over the "floating" bridge over the mouth of the Rio Ozama. Upstream you can see a tall bridge that is the main highway going into / out of the city. Many experienced Santo Do participants know that it is often easier to sneak out of the city towards the airport, Boca Chica, Juan Dolio using this route, though the traffic is often hideous at certain times of the day. Depends where you are staying. That was my experience when I used to live there.
Anybody know about this new place on Pedro Livio Cedeno st. Near the cemetery? Managed by former GBP chica Waleska.
Maybe it will cause Australia to lower her damn prices.

Have to go to Santo Domingo during the last weekend of Feburary, If any one else is going to be there at that time it would be great to meet up and show me the ropes. I was thinking of staying at either the Hotel Riazor, or the Hotel Navarro, or the Hotel Mystic or any other that someone can suggest. I want a hotel that is close to the action modestly priced girl friendly and has wifi. Any advice or recomendations would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
Chris

Geolopes, thanks for the info, but I knew what / where the Malecon is. I probably didn't phrase my question correctly.
