The MD's in the USA have got a lock on prescribing drugs. It is a monopoly. Their lobby is powerful. The MD's have created a paternalistic mentality such that we believe that only they have the knowledge to treat us. I don't buy into it. Whenever I go to the PI I pick up a supply of antibiotics for when I come down with one of those nasty respiratory infections that I get semiannually. The GP back home will charge me $200 bucks just to walk in the door (then sit in the waiting room for undetermined amount of time) so that he can write me a scrip of antibiotics that I can get in the PI for $2.

Flight to Manila is almost $100 cheaper for me. Does it make sense to get to Manila and go to AC by road? Also what's the preferred option between Manila & AC. Taxi / Bus / Self Drive?

Fly to Manila. Have your AC hotel send a car to pick you up directly at the airport and take you to AC. Costs are about $75, and depending on the time of day your travel time will be 90 minutes (late evening to early morning) to several hours. Return cost is the same for $ and traffic time.

Fly to Manila. Take the public transportation (busses, taxi to busses, tryke once in Dau). Costs are much less, about $10-$15. Travel time will be longer than the first option. Return cost is the same for $ and traffic time.

Fly to Clark, spend the $100 more, skip the time / traffic hassles (my preference).

So this sounds like a new guy question, but more like an out-of-commission-question.

How much is a LT from a bar in AC these days? I was there a few years back, 2011, and it was about P 1000 at the bars and for ST P 5-700 on 'Blow-row. ' I am planning a trip and want to know how much I should budget.

Also, last time I was there it worked like this: walk in to bar. Girl sits with you. Buy lady drink (cost?) and a beer for myself. Then tell her what I like and then pay the old woman P 1000 to take her to a hotel for LT. In the morning she asks for a tip and I am guilt into P 400 for her Taxi.

Is it pretty much the same? Costs?

Also, basically still works the same way, but up to you of course about buying LD's and tip amount; I generally only tip if the service is good. The only main difference is that now due to the raids some bars have you pay the girl directly and / or many bars don't use the term "bar fine" anymore. You'll just have feel your way around on that one. You'll also notice more "multi-tiered" pricing, just a way for them to garner more of your peso's as there's no guarantee a 3 K girl is better then a 2 K girl from the same bar; and I've seen plenty of prettier ones who were on the lower price tier (but of course looks are always subjective). In essence the split pricing is just a marketing ploy to make you feel that the higher priced girl is more special.

I also carry a bottle of 100 500 MG Cipro, bottle of ibuprofen and other medications that I need. If I can get them cheaper in Mexico, I buy there than in USA. Thankfully I work for a healthcare company and I do not have to pay much for medication or any medical procedures. But I have to buy Cipro from Mexico as none of my doctors will prescribe that quantity or the drug unless I really needed it. Cipro is a very potent drug and I first heard about it years ago when there was a possible anthrax outbreak. It will kill most bacteria. Enjoy your mongering.

Guys who self-medicate with Cipro without knowing what's wrong with them are nuts and don't realize what they are doing to their bodies, particularly their ability to resist more serious ailments in the future.

Usually one takes one pill every 12 hours at least an hour before or two hours after eating. Even if the symptoms have stopped you should continue taking for four days to make sure a resistant strain isn't born. Since all the intestinal bacteria was wiped out by the Cipro, make sure to eat your yogurt and / or probioticos. I have found that taking Align every day keeps my digestion in excellent shape. I asked my house medic (my friend) if he is actually educated doc. Ofcourse he is and I was only pulling his leg. I mentioned to him his recomendations on dosages doing the Ciproes. As he told me and bear in mind as he was under no circumstances able to do a proper examination through his satelite phone in the Canadian wilderness. He was just after the shock effects putting in a rather high dosage of ciproes to my system as I have complained about my stomach issues for quite some time now. I will underline he also told me to do the one pill each 10-12 hours for a few days. Preferable after having the meal ofcourse. So far so good.

Even if I know some of you almost shit your pants talking about doing the selfmed routine this was actually consulted by a fully operational doc. What he also told me was that this would be the exceptions ofcourse but also that the Cipro have a wide range in treating multiple conditions (not only abdominal ones) so this was my best shot the situation beeing like it was.

One time a few years back when I was in makati I was feeling the pain downstairs and some white / yellowish / greenish stuffs came out my Willy. I called my inhouse doc and he told me my best shot beeing in phils and everything was to buy myself a high dosage of Zitromax. I did and popped a few ones for the shock effect. After 1-2 hrs I was crapping like a hero (a sign the meds works) and the fluid from my dick stopped. I continued a few days taking the pills to make sure everything was gone (all according to his recomendations). Once again he told me and realy underlined this is no firm examination but most likely did I have recieved the ghons. If it was a mild one Zitroes would work fine and it did.

If your flight is 100 usd cheaper by all mean fly to Manila and take a taxi directly to AC is only 2 hour or just stay in Manila for a few days first, if this is your first time to AC you should just take a taxi or take the swagman fly by bus.
