You have solved much of the missing puzzle (for me)! The Cartagena pageant looks like something I'd definitely be interested in checking out in the future. I like the "shade" of the women there as well. All those babes were beautiful!
Going to have to pin Cali and CTG to the map for places to check out (hoping there are more options for meeting local chicas than just LDV. I understand chicas come to CTG from all over COL). Thanks for the info!
Orgasmicos post was point on. But Colombia is a different kind of beast verses the DR. As he said it's a bigger country with different variety. But Colombia is very dangerous, no fronting allowed. My experience is "low key" is the best. At first I had reservation's about talking about my favorite spot, but I know most people can't adapt so it doesn't matter. Some Spanish is a must, no walking around only knowing"Hola" like in Sosua.
Medeliin:
Some of the most finest women in the world. Understand being raised in Washington D. C. Which when I was growing up was 88% black, my family didn't believe in interracial dating. My Mom always told me to never bring a white woman home with me. I went to diverse schools but interracial dating was out (can't let Mom down). It wasn't until I went to Medellin that my mind was opened up. Were talking about pale women that have class, pretty toe's and hand's (natural) and a lady like quality. If I was 25 yo I would marry a Colombiana. I was introduced to white women where race didn't matter. I was hooked. The ladylike demeanor, style, and class, not to mention they make pretty babies (ever seen an ugly Black / Colombiana baby?). Medellin has a metro that goes everywhere, malls that have roofs that open like Cowboys new Stadium (Sante fe mall) , and sex that is late night and hidden during the day.
As I was telling Savepros yesterday via pm, most guy's don't know how to maneuver in Medellin. You have to tuck your tail, which most guys can't do. Understand Colombian people are not nosy they have their own agenda. So as long as you don't bring attention to yourself, the city is yours. Please remember Medellin has some gangster ass MF trying to lay low. They don't see you till you make them see you, then you have problems. You are right AH2 I don't walk around Medellin holding hand's. They come to the apartment to hang out or maybe we might walk to the corner to get Domino's pizza (yes they have Domino s). I've been invited to homes for dinner, but it goes back to my "low key" point, plus I don't want a wife. Just the private 6 hours before she works makes me happy. Drugs are plentiful, so if you indulge be careful. Medlelin has a lot of trap's and most guy's follow their hard dick and hope for the best. But it is a hidden paradise if you understand that flying low will keep you safe, most gringos don't understand or respect this. Here are some past pics.

I am damn-near fluent (damn-near, LOL) ; but I can't be in the bedroom holding my friend's hands should shit happen to go South with their chicas or if they decide to wander off and do their own thing. They'd be more of a henderance than anything.
Plus some of my friend's friends have no concept of the term "low-key" and go any and everywhere dressed like they are on the set of Weezy's latest music video. I don't want nor need that kind of attention focused on me in a place like Colombia, lol.
Thanks for the photos!
Mr Gogo I just noticed your thread, it is very good (BBBL is hilarious!) but I must say how important your advice of laying low is in Colombia. I have been to both MDE and CTG, my spanish skills kind of suck, speak more porto than spanish, but your descriptions of MDE are dead on. I was in a strip club (FASE DOS) with a few guys and one guy (a friend of a friend) got excited and wanted to make it rain. I grabbed his collar and yanked him back to the table before anyone noticed-scolded him: this is NOT the US MF, play it cool and law LOW! Told him if you want to make an impression, when she stops by our table, you can give her whatever you want. Discreetly.
At the end of the night, some of the Colombians guys stopped by and said Hello, before leaving. I offered them a drink but they simply shook our hands and left.

Some of my college girlfriends and guys comment about this topic quite a bit and its frowned upon in their opinions and say that their parents would NOT approve. I think its more older generation installed conservative point of view. Then the newer generations have been indoctrinated with this point of view and find it hard to remove. I've been to in South America (Peru, Ecuador, Colombia, Chile)
A Colombiana is the most superficial creature on the planet! She sees, she wants and is envious.
I would never make a Colombiana a wife I don't think Way too high maintenance, want to live the life of a novela, to much drama and if she ever tastes the life of someone of a higher stratus she'll have a yearning for more and becomes less humble. If you can't give to her, there's always something better around the corner and you can't put this genie back in the bottle. Also if she's younger than you and plan to have her as a girlfriend in another country it will add a lot of stress to situation. She will want to go out a lot (the girls live for this) and have many "amigos" and theirs nothing you can do about it. Take it or leave it attitudes. As far as their feminism? They live for this as well. They are very high maintenance, constantly saving every single penny doing their hair (changing it many different shades) , New clothes, have to have the newest fashions, doing their nails, but still won't have one peso in their pocket and not 1 minute in their cellphone. Its almost the same from estrato 6 to 1. I have always wondered about this. These girls are used to being pampered and getting what they want, if you can't give it to them the will get it from somewhere and sometimes they are quickly ready to push the "NEXT" button. Don't let their beauty, charm, overwhelm you.
p.s. Ill reply to any comments if any in the NEW, CR, DR COL thread as to not clog up the SOSUA thread. The Sosua thread demands more respect.

When I'm in Medellin I see maybe two or three black's my whole trip. But I never see Colombians pointing or laughing or even paying me any attention whatsoever. So if they aren't outwardly worrying about my presence, why would I search for a racial problem. MHL spends more time exploring Colombia than I do, so he is qualified to share his opinion's.
It's funny how the people who now want to share their racial views (about Colombia) , never commented when we talked about the documentary"blacks in Latin America" that was recently featured in the Gogo forum (link in Gogo forum and it's free).

I was a drunken mess last night trying to calm the PAINNNN LOL. Home for the last 2 games is my only "silver lining" where we can easily win the next 2.
Bron Bron has disappeared the 4th quarter in the finals after being so strong in the 4th vs Boston and Chicago. Wade can't do it all.
People say he had the most quiet triple double you could have and another tweeter tweeted,"if you ask lebron for change for a $1 he'll only give you. 75 cents and never the 4th quarter. Hahaha LOL pretty imaginative.
I'm a fan til the End, I had season tickets in the 90's, when we started 0-18, all of those heartbreakers with the KNICKS.
Peace bro!

But on this point I pretty much agree. I am black and now that I think about it I am the only black guy that I ever see with white and lighter skinned Colombianas. As to parents not approving, I have a friend in Bogota who is from Valledupar in the northeast. She says the same thing about her mother. She disapproves of her dating guys brown or dark even though she is mestizo and not light skinned or white. However, my friend's preference is for black guys.

Most of the Colombianas I know (even those that live in the USA) are very humble and sweet ladies with open hearts. They are extremely low maintenance. They never ask for gifts or beauty money. They are just average, everyday, normal, down-to-earth women. All they want is minimal attention and for me to spend time with them. They call me more from their cell phones from Colombia to the USA than I call them. If ever I was to get hit over the head in an accident and the thought entered my mind of getting married, then it would no doubt be to a Colombian, Brazilian, or Thai; not necessarily in that order, but more than likely all three simultaneously.
*Disclaimer: I have never been to Medellin. All my experience is from women in Cali, Bogota, Barranquilla, and Cartagena.

I'm going to have to agree with MR. GOGO 95% (just being difficult jaja) nah but when we where there we felt like the town was ours. I absolutely love how the Colombians pay you absolutely no mind, until you make them. A person can hide out for years in that city. Go to the casa's by day and hit our spot at night jajajaja. I can't believe we went there 5 nights in a row jajajaj. I love the place my. 02. Classy women. Not aggressive like DR women.
Disclaimer. I've only been to MDE and once at that.
Peace,

I am probably not qualified to get into arguement of racism in Colombia seeing I was one of first gringos into Medellin this being my 13th year.
But I will tell you this the hottest Colombian chics I have ever seen with Gringos were with African Americans [not putas]. First one comes to mind was a nerdy looking fellow I met in Cali in Spring of 2005, man the chics this guy was with. Dude!
Then Cali again but May 2009 I was staying at Cali Plaza ISG member Blackknight was there with his posse but it was another dude damn I couldn't keep my eyes off her. He was tall plump but real happy fellow quite friendly, she was light skinned smoking hot!
The 3rd one I remember was a wingman of ISG member Locogringo, his girlfriend from Cartagena. Dude! Damn! Probably hottest chic I have seen in Cartagena to date, he met her in grocery store in Bocagrande.
Now that being said my first trip to Medellin Feb 1999 I noticed the only blacks I saw were either cleaning the streets or sleeping in them. I asked several girls about this they responded there was no racism. Yea right! I never seen anything like it.
I have black Colombian girl.friend who works in Hooters Jardin Plaza Cali, Colombia and she works hard against predudice in Colombia and I feel for her.

Millions of tourists from Europe and the US used to visit apartheid South Africa and have a great time. The racial issues there didn't bother them too much but that doesn't mean they "didn't matter".
They matter to 25% of the population in Colombia who are, with few exceptions, denied the chance to advance up the social and professional ladders because of the color of their skin. Same applies to DR, and I would guess most other Latin American countries. It also applies to a great extent in Haïti where the 10% of the population who have lighter skins (often French speaking) own 90% of the wealth.
