Personal liability & and staying out of accident
Your best insurance in case you hit somebody is to KEEP MOVING. Get away from the scene. You won't always be able to do that but when you can, you should. A good way to avoid accidents is KEEP YOUR DISTANCE. The closer you are to other cars and especially motorcycles, the more likely you are to be in accidents. Domincan drivers will take any risk to pass other cars. LET THEM. You should gradually slow down when they get near you so they will move away. You will notice Dominican drivers honking their horns at what might seem like unusual times. They know each other habits. They are unpredictable and pay no attention to lines dividing lanes of traffic or most anything else. So when another car comes close they start honking. They assume other drivers don't use their mirrors or give way to oncoming traffic or traffic coming from behind or the side. They are mostly right.
Everybody else give some advice. We should be helping each other avoid problems.
Trouble you should not be afraid to rent a car. I will let Gogo talk more about that, but you get off the block if you do. Girls love to go to the beach. You can drive to Boca Chica or Juan Dolio for the day. It is such an easy drive. I take girls to the movies and they love it. You can rent a car for as low as $20, 00 dollars a day get insurance from your card and I add there personal liability in case You hit someone and that protects you from waiting in jail. Read Hillbilly's post on that. It is one of the best stories you can read. It is not funny, but he makes you laugh reading it.
I would never not rent a car now. I need to be mobile. Yes, I do get stopped by the police, but I have so many ways to have the police running when they pull me over to my fake DEA card, but I will not share that stuff now. That is pm secrets.
