As you correctly state, the bars make their money from the drink sales and " early work release" charges. Angeles is not cheap these days, a bottle of SMB ranges from around P90 to P180 or more, ladies drinks P250 and up.

If you want the pick of the bunch, then get out early and put your money down no later than 8 PM.

Lost in Asia is nearly at the other end of town and is not a show bar but is a higher end bar located at the end of the line unless you count the Korean-focused bars like Rocking Horse.

One my first trip to AC I stayed right in the middle of Fields and this may be a good plan for a newbie especially if you only have one week. It is a festive atmophere and everything you need will be right there including restaurants, money changers, and of course bars. In Fields the bars are one after another on both sides of the street and there are no desolate areas. On Perimeter they are only on one side and start to spread out with some business and housing areas and empty areas where there is nothing. That is no big deal if you know what you are doing but could be a little intimidating if Third World squalor frightens you. On my second trip I stayed on Perimeter and the few times I wandered into Fields I did not appreciate the festive atmosphere but was mostly annoyed by the constant pestering from street peddlers and agressive waitresses.

The distance from LIA to Fields Plaza (the end of Fields) is less than 1 3/4 miles so if you have any decent fitness it is not a bad walk. Regardless of where you stay you can visit all of the different areas without much stress as you can hop a jeepney any time for 8 pesos although you will have to take 2 to make it all the way from LIA to the Fields walking street.

There is never a cover charge at the bars. As you walk down the street you will hear girls yelling,"Sir! Come to x bar!" I might say,"OK, I will take a look," and give the bar a pass-through before I sit down and order a drink. If nothing looks appealing I just give a polite response that I will come back later. Unless I am looking for a particular girl I probably only stop in half of the bars I go into. If I do see something I like I will sit down and order a drink. Before I call a girl over I will usually ask to make sure she is not a cherry girl or on her mens. Then I will invite her for a single lady drink (SLD). If she insists on a DLD then it is a sign that she is going to be trouble and I will cut her loose immediatley. Otherwise I will sit with her for a 1/2 hour to hour interviewing her and getting friendly. If she passes the test then I will BF her and be off.

Only you can answer which bars have the best girls. I avoid the show bars since I do not like the pushiness. I have found great girls in both Fields and Perimeter. As a general rule Fields girls tend to have more experience, better English, and be less shy. There is no particular given limit on the number of times you can poke a girl on a LT deal, BUT the most important thing is you negotiate well with her BEFORE you leave her bar.

Make sure that she REALLY understands what you want from the deal. Remember the command of English of some these girls is not so great.

You may well find that if you want a girl to stay after 8:30 or 9 AM she will demand a fairly decent breakfast to be thrown in as well as a reasonable tip.

As regards " bar fine" prices, just about everywhere they were starting negotiations at P2, 000 last week " because business is slow"! (in any other country in the world you would have expected them to offer a discount on slow days. This is Phils!). I had absolutely no problem in negotiating down P1500 LT and maybe could have got it a little lower, but I wanted good service from the girl did not want to look too much of a cheap Charlie.

All bars that cater to foreigners are the same. You go in and pay your money and the girl leaves with you. There is no particular circuit that girls follow in regards to if they are new in town or not.
