I have close to 35 contacts in Manila and faced this issue only with two where they wrote location as Manila but where from elsewhere, I kept the details since both look pretty hot and promising, I might get in touch with them on a rainy day and see how it goes.

Way too many, as every one of them has an agenda of some sort and they all have memories like steel traps so good luck with managing that list.
Are you in Manila now? The most "sure-fire" way to have success on dating sites is to contact them when you are actually in the Philippines. They will be enthusiastic then.

Too much bullsh.[/QUOTE]You might just be right, no I am not yet in the Philippines because my trip got delayed due unforeseen circumstances and I have lost touch with many of them. Although few (and good ones) have kept in touch but I have lost interest and not kept in touch. I agree it's better to make contacts once you are in, I have learned that. I actually have instances where women have initiated the communication, given their numbers but next day stopped replying, weird!!
My point was I will get in touch with them once I am in the country and hopefully out of 35,5 will be a success rate.

One is that many live in one or 2-room dwellings so the bedroom is often less cluttered than the other room so it makes a better photo op.
Another alternative is that many Filipinos do not sleep on a bed (as we know it) when they are "home" so when they get the opportunity to recline on a genuine one they must record it for posterity and show it to all and sundry.

I know several very sad tales (for the guy) and some equally sad tales (for the girl) from my previous life. When these things go belly-up it is usually a train-wreck, but as this article shows, there are some happy endings too.

I just don't see evidence that it happens more or worse in PH than in the homeland with home grown. We hear about it more here but it is only one sided. If we could only hear the other side to form a better objective opinion on this.

The only surprise in this IMHO is the fact it only took 2-3 years to convict the suspects.

When you are choosing a mate it is smart to choose one who will be an asset. The problem is that most of the people who are picking a foreign mate are taking on a liabililty. When they wake up and realize that, that is when the train wreck starts.
I am not much for TV, but the show 90-day Fiance is hilarious to me. Ugly fat old chicks who import young handsome guys. Older square thrice-divorced guys who import young sexy chicks who refuse to lie by telling them that they love them. A young chick without a pot to whizz in importing a guy and trying to get him to sign a prenuptial agreement. What is she afraid they are going to break up and he is going to want her clock radio in the divorce? You can't make that shit up.
I don't think there is any agency keeping track of how many Filipina woman / foreign man marriages that end on a good or bad note. However, there are enough stories out there to warrant caution in entering these marriages. What is known about Filipino culture and habits should give anyone pause when it comes to entering a legally enforceable marriage contract with assets on the line. It is reasonable to assume the same characteristics that make them easily accessible short-term sex partners also make them terrible risks as long-term partners in marriage.
I personally know of at least three cases where foreigners married Filipina women and it went bad. In the first case, the girl was from an upper middle class family. She admits that the divorce was her fault because once she got to America she started cheating on her husband. What is young Kampapanga spinner supposed to do when she suddenly finds a buffet of young hard American cock? She gave into her weaknesses as a pinay of course. The marriage did not last two years so she did not get permanent residency, but she did get alimony and half her husband's assets. After her deportation back to the Philippines she became the proud owner of a profitable bed & breakfast catering to foreigners.
In the second case, the pinay was a bar girl. She also could not resist the sausage buffet in America and gave in to adulterous desires. She also failed to make the two year requirement for USA Permanent residency. She now works as a mamasan in a bar after being deported back to the Philippines.
In the third case, the girl married on her 18th birthday to an elderly American who had been grooming her under her aunt's supervision over a few years. She was caught cheating by her husband and beaten. The marriage did not last two years but she was able to use the beating to qualify for the domestic violence loophole that allowed her to self-petition for USA Permanent residence. She now works as a housekeeper in various hotels and she still trolls online dating sites.
None of these women expressed any shame in their actions but they all said they regretted the end of their marriages, even the one who was beaten for cheating.
I also know of marriages where Filipina women have cheated and their American husbands are unaware of this. I am not sure I would call those happy marriages although many say that ignorance is bliss.
