Hi Gent,

I have always prided myself on trying to keep my mongering activities from crossing into my mainstream life.

I think the iPhone and Facebook are now such a dangerous combination that mongering needs to be kept off these devices. A couple of new traps introduced in a recent Apple update:

Even with Notifications turned off, unexpected Facebook and Skype calls will ring on the screen with usernames displayed ie Sexy Cebu Annie or Marilou Firepit Bar.

Those calls will get added to the "recent calls" list on the telephone app on the phone.

FB Messenger will sync my work emails on the phone into my mongering account and then offer those people to be my FB friend. Evil.

Anyway, I've moved everything to a separate phone.

Not forgetting you can be trapped (if someone is wanting to trap you) by your wifi history.

If you log in for instance to " Sogo VIP Room " that's stored in the history, and who really thinks to clear such history. But there are intrepid smart ladies that know to look, look look and look again. Trapped!

When you log into Facebook on a laptop, click on the settings wheel in the bottom right corner of the screen (chat settings) and turn off "Video / Voice Calls".

I am sorry to ask what must be a simple question, but what is the best way to send text messages to girls in the Philippines from the US. I am trying Chikka but they want me to register using a cell phone from the Philippines.

It also has to be a system where they can easily text me back for no more than they pay for a local text. Otherwise, I will not get any answers!

Whatsapp might work but they seem resistant to installing it.

If you're on a mobile look for the blue triangle > Settings > Mobile. Click the remove button and apply. Ought to logout and logon to verify change has been applied.

If that doesn't work you can limit the ability of strangers to search for you using your phone number. Who can look you up using the phone number you provided has the three FB options (everyone, friends of friends, and friends), and I think the default is Everyone. Change it to the most restricted, which is Friends.
