I m surprised some German girls are not able to speak foreign languages

I wouldn't agree with this. I have a number of German colleagues that do not speak English. I am talking about people in their thirties with post-secondary education.
Let's keep one thing in mind here: Until the early 90's, English was not the primary foreign language that was taught at school in the region formerly referred to as "German Democratic Republic". The kids there were taught Russian, and English was a voluntary option (if available at all).
From then on, the youth was taught English, like their counterparts in the west had been for decades. But that doesn't automatically give both sides enough practice to actually speak English fluently. And I also don't think that you will find that many brainiacs among the working girls, some might not even have a decent school graduation. So I think it's pretty snobbish to expect every girl to speak English.
You know, that is one reason that I am impressed with the girls from Romania who speak english. I wouldn't have thought that such a poor country would focus on english.
I have had enough parties with ROMs and BULGs to find out one thing: Romanians tend to speak English, whereas Bulgarians rather speak Turkish as a second language.
-
Why? It is their own country. English is still far from a universal language (although it almost is in FKK) A good chance to practice some German. If a girl wants to talk I always take it as a good sign.
Of course Natali is in her country and I'm a foreigner for her, but she didn't work because only wanted to go to room with her friend who speaks English. She smiled to me before I went to her, she smiled to me when I went to her, until she understood I don't speak German and then answered me she wanted to go in room with her friend. So pretty face, so beautiful smile, I would have been proud to be her first man of the day, bad luck, but 2 top GFE Romanian girls made my night. Wait and see this week end, just surprised some German girls don't learn English at school when most of Romanian girls manage to speak English. I experienced the same with Janine at Sharks on September 2014.

Natali or Janine were not born on this other time, other world, I don't think they learned Russian at school. Most of Germans, not only young, speak English, better than Russian or French people. In FKK, girls say me I speak good English for a French. Romanian girls who don't speak English are able to speak sexual language, Germans girls don't seem to be able, maybe not woman enough, just robot speaking native language. Just why, out of a few like Rachel, Liz, Anna, Jacqueline and Sandra, I prefer Romanian girls, more sensual, more sexy.

I've met many German girls that spoke very good English very sensual & very sexy!

Go to France and Italy and you will be surprised how little English they speak or are willing to speak. I've seen plenty of Italians, French, Japanese, Chinese, Korean guys at the clubs barely speaking any English word. Or understanding English. Italians just start talking and assume the German bar girl will understand. She doesn't. You will find a lot of Eastern German people in their 40's and 50's not speaking English as they grew up learning Russian. Different world.
HB.
DDR, CCCP died 25 years ago, then no more game with brown bears in Kamtchatka, was funnier than to watch US.
Yep preferring brown bear watching at Kamtchatka instead of Brooks Falls, McNeil River or Kodiak (all Alaska) is same like preferring clubbing at Acapulco instead of Sharks, Mainhattan or Oase. LOL.

I have no idea how they get by. Not in the club per se, but outside, in Frankfurt, in the airports, shops, restaurants, tourist spots, etc etc.
Personally, I would be pretty apprehensive traveling to anyplace where the general population spoke little or no English. Even in some developed Asian countries like Japan or Taiwan, travel is a bi&h once you go away from the beaten path and having to converse with anyone not speaking a word of English.

Same for brown little bears, try to stay alive as long as possible playing fighting with Kodiak or Grizzly, brown bears are playful like some WG.

I'm planning to visit Frankfurt and Dusseldorf in a couple of weeks and I understand that Uber is currently banned in these cities. I generally prefer using Uber to cabs and was wondering if this is actually the present situation? Any info would be appreciated.
Thanks

I've met WGs speak no English. I got lost even with GPS, and I didn't run into English speaking folks. The hotel I was staying at, the receptionist could speak barely.
From the start when I first visited DE, there will be somebody around that will speak English that would help me. It seems so common in DE.
DE is tourist friendly. A cute DE girl offering me change when the machine doesn't accept change. Another cute DE girl wanting to help me out how to get around places as a first timer. I appreciate the cute DE girls. Haha. People willing to help out, and English skills are good. When in Berlin, English speaking folks help me out when Going from Tegal to train stops. Lots of happy DE folks in clubs too (who isn't happy in the club), lots of older folks speak English well too.
One time I lodged in a small town middle of nowhere. I arrived early, and the door was close. A little boy on a bike came to help, it was cute. Haha.
I've met some down to earth DE girls at clubs, and tend to hold up conversations well. It was difficult to commonicate with Janine since she didn't speak English well, and perhaps not so talkative either. She's like 1 of 2 girls that I've been with that speaks minimal. Meike DE ex-DV, now GT, very down to earth when talkin. Same for Sophie DE, a part timer at DV, and many others. There are many types of DE girls out there. Lots of them seem to be immigrants like Turkish, half Turkish, Balkan(Serbian, Bosnian), Morrocan, Polish, Russian, and etc.
