I also agree that there is a lot of "doom and gloom" at the other site, but it is still better (for me at least) to have more than one source of information. They can't all be liars. It's the same way one would suspect that all the reports about "Sosua Ain't Dead" to be lies.

I got this e-mail from a friend that is there right now:

"They caught a bunch of minors in classicos last night and arrested at least 30 chicas before that. Tonight from 7-11 was absolute biblical rain + Classico was closed and 90% of other places closed before 12 on Saturday."

Doesn't sound promising whatsoever!

As far as determining whether a conceived child is his it is a simple thing to do. The following is what I did:

(Cindy Rental). They ask you for a drivers license or passport as collateral, I obviously always leave my drivers license.

Friday night from 2 AM until 6 AM a large force of military and tourist police (Politur) checked in all bars of Sosúa the women, sometimes in a heavy-handed manner, for a valid I'd or residence permit.

Raids in SosúaIf the person didn't have a valid identity card (cedula) , she was taken into custody. Reporters from the local TV station 'La Costa Norte Network TV' who wanted to capture these overly heavy-handed arrests on video, were threatened and prevented from working. There were even some bars closed. The coordinator of these raids Major General Pedro Antonio Cáceres Chestaro, said that also in surrounding municipalities including Cabarete they handle the same way.

I'm discouraged. I missed Sosua's hey day, Rio seems to be dying now with the closure of Help. Where is that new hot latina spot somewhere in the world that is just now getting its legs? Colombia is not it? Costa Rica is not it? Fortaleza Brazil? Please, does anyone know the place that is the natural succession to all these dying stars?
