However, I might add that if you at least go to Livingstones and have a fine dinner there (as I have done twice) and introduce yourself to Giotto, he might throw you a few bones of information which is probably more than you deserve.

What, are people here now obliged to stay at that particular hotel or else be denigrated?

Fatboy, you made a good choice. You won't need 'advice' to find the action in Lower Sukhumvit -- if you don't find it (which would be a remarkable feat) it will find you.

The lane where that hotel is just has the "artist bars" which all have fewer and less attractive girls than the gogos and other bars down in the lower numbered sois. There's a bunch of people who post in this thread who are pretty relentless in pushing that place, even when it starts one flame war after another (cuz others see it as spam). They know this, yet they keep at it. And then they make posts like that last one sometimes. "Go, or else". The Al Capone School of Marketing.

After all the RTFF, last time in BKK I decided to stay in this place and I wasn't impressed at all. It was ok, but nothing really special for how much they charged me. The sportsbar girls were ok too, but definitely overpriced as compared to what's available around. Standard of the room and the hotel's restaurant acceptable but also not such a good value for money as by BKK standards. The pool looked rather unattractive and I didn't risk a swim. The good things. Convenient location, relaxed atmosphere and definitely GF place. Unfortunately I didn't meet Giotto during my 2 days stay (probably he was not there it was end of April last year) so I suppose I missed the important part.

Altogether it wasn't really bad, it was ok, but there are places to stay in BKK I liked much more and which offer much better value. Finally pissed me off a little, as while sitting already in the cab driving me to airport reading the invoice I found out that definitely for no reason they charged me 300baht extra claiming "lost keycard" or so. Of course I should have checked it when I was checking out and paying (it's LOS.) and it was not a lot of money, but no one likes to be ripped off anyway.

Have fun guys, I am planning my next visit to LOS in Feb and I really can't wait.

What I don't like about the Majestic Suites is that if you get a room in the back and try to go to bed before Nana Plaza closes, it's very noisy since you are literally a few feet away from Nana Plaza.

Ralph, proceed to your nearest good beer pub and sink a couple of swiftys. Then please apologise to the Fatboy.

Fatboy, Majestic Suites is in a great location for just about all of the Sukhumvit punting areas. Nana Plaza is at the back of your hotel. The entrance to it is on Soi 4 and there are several pickup bars on that Soi such as the Hillary bars, Day Night and the beer bar on the side of Nana Hotel.

Across the road there are more options from Soi 5 (and a little link walkway to Soi 7 that's easy to find) all the way up to Soi 11. Gullivers, Beergarten and NuWave are the famous ones, but there are many more.

Later on in the evening, the whole of the odd-numbered Soi side of Sukhumvit becomes a party with makeshift bars full of freelancers, and the car park in front of Nana Hotel is a car boot sale like no other you've seen.

Anal is not easy to find among Thai women. If you want it on a plate, go to Eden Club on Soi 7/1 (off Sukhumvit and between Sois 7 & 9). This is a brothel-type experience but the girls are available for take-out later in the evening.

Like Wendella alluded to, you are staying in a target-rich environment.

Thanks for all the advice. I wasn't disregarding Pita's advice - it's just that I don't check in here too often. I might head to Livingstones for a beer and a steak at some point.

Fatboy the problem at Nana would be to find a bar that DIDN'T have takeout...

as to not wanting to LOOK at Ladyboys - that's downright scandalous. Some of them are flat out gorgeous. You wouldn't want to miss that, would you? And anyway, if you don't look at them, you'll never develop the radar you need to avoid bedding them (if that's your real worry).

Back from a recent BKK trip.

Stayed again at the Landmark Hotel at Sukhumvit, just opposite the Nana BTS. Really great 4-star hotel, nice rooms, fantastic service, and super-convenient location. Would stay again, and highly recommend to anyone looking for a go-to place in the Nana-Asok area (convenient for Nana Plaza and Soi Cowboy). Rate was ~ $115 USD per night for a superior room.

Booked at Eden for a 10pm -6am "take out" with a girl I'd seen but not been with a week earlier -- name was "Em". My friend had taken her and said she was great. Very thin, long waist-length dark hair, tiger tattoo on her back. Speaks extremely good English. Raised in Krabi down south. Very accommodating and a "left side of the line" girl (anal). Cost paid at Eden was 3000BHT.

She was ready right on time at 10pm when I went to Eden to pick her up. Eden is pretty much across the street from the Landmark, so I just walked over to get her -- they had offered to send her to the hotel, but I figured the walk would be a good bit of chat time. I usually opt for the prostate massage service and 90 mins. This go-round, only had time for 60 mins and the cost was quite moderate -- 1100BHT I think, plus I tipped Sally 400 or so. I like the whole girl-showers-you thing. Sally gives a really good massage as well, keeping things interesting with grazes and licks before flipping you over for the main event.

If being masturbated to climax after a rimjob and (covered) BJ while a girl fingers your butt as she gives you an oiled-up reach-around isn't your thing, you won't like Akane that much. Thankfully it's my thing X-D. I had a great time.
