Ho Chi Minh City - General Info

Will be in HCM city next month but really have only one free day(and it will be more like an afternoon) to have fun. Can anyone suggest how to make the best of my one chance.

Ok so I have lived in HCMC for 4 months now.

What have I learnt?

Hai Ba Trung and the girly bars.
Ex U2, bar 49, 51 and others
Some very cute girls.

This is the trick. Go in, scan the area quickly, select the girl, talk with her for 5 minutes and GET OUT. Else you will be hounded for drinks, food and chewing gum. I am not kidding when I say hounded, consider this, their sole goal is for you to stay and buy them drinks and divest you of your money.

The women here are the most aggressive I have ever seen. Nothing like philipines or Thailand where they will let you have a drink in peace. I had a friend who was told to have his drink outside the club if he did not plan to talk with a woman.

If you have a good eye, you can zone into a newbie, difficult I must admit, to identify when its dark in the bar. Hahahaha. If you have time in Saigon, tell her to meet you after the bar closes or call you.

Apocalypse

It wasn’t for the music, I would never go there. Too many foreigners, incredibly expensive drinks. The women are pro’s well seasoned and relatively expensive, in the $100 range. But there are many local fish but this takes time, at least 3-4 dates before 1st base. But many many many locals, just smile and move!

Liquid, Volcano, Rainforest and most of the techno VN clubs (8 others)

90% do not speaks English. So hunting is poor, very beautiful fish, non pro available but it takes a while to make progress 3-4 dates. These are regular VN girls looking for rich husbands, foreigners rarely go to these clubs, so u will be an oddity that they will avoid.

Level 21 (Sheraton)

Many seasoned pros, $100 range, live band, very expensive booze, did not like the music or the fish. Not too many locals come here

Royal (casino) + Catwalk

Designed for the Japanese, Koreans and Singaporeans. Very beautiful women but $100+ and up. Like shooting fish in a barrel, so don’t expect a GFE experience, its all business baby!

Saloon 17

Good club, live music is good, very few working girls here but lots of locals, harder to approach because of the club design.

Some seasoned working girls, higher class of locals, harder to reach them. More of a yuppy crowd here

TMK road near the bridge

Always available, lots of nice fish. I drive thru this road to go home all the time. $500K. Not too bad and the quality varies from night to night.

Since I live here now, it is easier to hook up with locals. Must admit, the women here can be as much fun as Brasil or Philippines but it takes much more time to get to know them. Many coffee’s and dinners.

So for the short timers, picking is very slim, unless u are unusually lucky. Stick to Hai Ba Trung street and the girly bars. Choose quick and get out, don’t expect GFE status, you will not find any, very business oriented.

Overall for a short timer, Vietnam is not really a good place for mongering like Philippines or Thailand. Too many restrictions and many money hungry people trying to rip you off.

As of the safety, I always travel at night alone, One one major rule. Take your own transport (taxi or moto) and never go where THEY want you to go.

In Vietnam, if you are a foreign mongerer, someone WILL ALWAYS try to rip you off, everyone from the taxi driver to the local side road noodle stall. Ask the price from a local before getting into or buying anything……..

Can anyone verify if the Park Hyatt HCM allows local guests to come to your room?

If you need to sneak them in, how do you do it?

I have been reading the many posts by bros who have visited HCMC. Realised that bros are more interested in price reduction than having good looks and service. Often, i saw the pics posted reflected below average looking gals. Being in HCMC for the past 4 years, i have chosen to pay more to have good looking gals. Isn't it dreadful to bang a gal when you cannot even look at her face? No offense to any bro here.

I've been to a couple of the bars and meet some really nice looking women and had a great time with them. It may be my personal preference but the bars closer to the Caravele have the better looking ladies compared to those closer to the river. Cannot recall the names of the bars though, 49 rings a bell. Last time I went I took a bird out of one place for short time $40USD (yes probably too much) named Bich. She was a stunner about 20. In the cot she was like a firecracker but the moment I finished that was it, shower and back to the bar.

The next night I went next door and meet another girl, cannot recall her name and took her away too. (This bar had a large number of stunners there is one I would have killed to root but she was with another client, she was DDG!) Cost again was $40 after an opeing price of $80ST!!! The first place I ever went to in HCM was called Tiger Twin, it is more or less behind the Ledgend hotel. I was new to town and just looking for a beer and went into this place, was an eye opener. Went upstairs to play pool with a nice looking girl (she looked almost Jap but was full VN). I didn't have much enough money to take the girl away but had $10USD plus some local on me so blow job was suggested by the boss lady for $10. Went up yet another floor were I got BBBJ CIM along with a bit of return DATY and fingering for $10. She was one horny lady, the boss lady came about halfway through to see what was going on, I bet she thought we were having sex. One thing that I don't like is that most of these bars the girl choose you and come to sit with you before you get to choose who you really want. So who's ever turn is next, they have first dip at the next customer walking through the door. You can simply tell the girl that you want another. They really have no say if you should choose someone else. The girl you reject will wait for the next customer. If you visit the place frequently and you keep on choosing the same girl for 3 times. The girl doesn't loose her turn in the rotation.

I've worked out that the better looking girls almost never are the first ones to try and get a drink with you. Early on in my trips, i found it difficult, or felt unkind to say no thanks to the girl. Soon learnt, however, to just stay polite and say no thanks in some nice way fairly quickly. No-one takes offence. and you have a good chance getting someone more special. I reckon that the process of seeing how you deal with knocking back a girl is part of how the better girls decide whether to come to you (or not)

Like I said my biggest problem is getting rid of the first girl BEFORE she has made herself too comfortable and organised herself a drink. At least in Thailand the girls don't order themselves a drink without being offered or being asked!!!

Idealy I would like to walk into one of these places and spend half my first beer susing the place out to work out who I want the most. The joys of the fast paced HCMC!!

Of the 20 or so I saw only maybe 3 or 4 suited what I reckon are stunners. At the Tiger Twin it was probably about 50% good looking and 50% "others"

So where are the true VN stunners in HCM. Also any good places outside those few streets near the Caravele and behind the Ledgend (which appear to cater for the Japanese clientele). What about out in the suburbs where it would be safe for a white fella to go?

When I walk into the bar I look over all the talent before I sit down for a beer. If I find one to my liking, I stay and sit down with her. If not, I just split, check the next bar and follow the same routine. If you just want a quick BBBJ, you can grab a girl and go upstairs without even buying her a drink if you are a "Cheap Charley" like I am. I've paid $20-30 on-premise depending on the girl and the place, but most will not budge on the $50 ST takeout FS.
