This thread is awful and the standards of reporting/information sharing really need to be improved. With few exceptions, people do not share information/photos or provide help to newcomers. In this regard, Gos 44 and WildRunner deserve special mention as posters who actually extended a welcoming hand. If you guys want to see how it should be done, check out the Lima board where people like Lima Busy, Rosita Paola and David33 make visitors and newbies feel welcome.

Anyway, here are some experiences from my latest trip to Delhi. I no longer bother with classified ads in HT or TOI. Why? Because calling a pimp, haggling over price, waiting 2 hours for a girl to show up and sending her back- because she was not what was promised over the phone- is not how I choose to do business. There may well be good deals in HT/TOI. I just do not want to go through all of the bad ones to find them.

There are a few data points that I would like to share with you guys.

1) Thanks to Cool Sinbad for mentioning the Capital nightclub at the Ashoka hotel. Capital certainly appears to be the in-place for Delhi's beautiful people. The crowd is young and beautiful, including drop-dead gorgeous Indian model types on the Saturday night I visited. One of the most beautiful women I have ever seen walked into the club but there were plenty of 8-10s on display. The place is quite exclusive and they were turning away plenty of people at the door. The cover charge was INR 2,000 (USD 50), which is ridiculous, and I am going to look into membership if I spend any more time here. The message here is that if you have money and like to socialize with the beautiful people, look no further than Capital @ Ashoka Hotel. Capital is open 5 days per week: Wednesday-Sunday.

2) I read an article on the flight over to the effect that some of the Delhi clubs are moving away from cover charges all together. Specific clubs mentioned in the article are: Ministry of Sound (Wed night is Ladies night - Entrance and drinks are free for ladies), Tabula Rasa and Ivy Lounge. Agni in the Radisson hotel has no cover charge on weekdays. The Park hotel and Kuki are also moving in this direction.

3) I dropped into the Mayuri Sheraton on Saturday night. I ended up picking up a 31 year Indian babe whose husband is a commercial pilot. He was travelling, which meant that I got to take the wife out for a test flight. No money exchanged hands. It was an ok experience but not compelling enough to incent me to call her again.

4) By far the the best experience I have had on this trip is with a 21 year old girl who I met on the elevator (lift) of the office building in which I work. She is a beautiful girl; beautiful face and long, shapely legs. She moved to Delhi only a year ago and was raised in a small town in the traditinal Indian way. Consequently, prior to meeting me she had never been touched by a man and she is still a virgin! The family plans to marry her off soon and I guess she has gotten it into her head to have some fun before resigning herself to a life of servitude as a traditional Indian wife. I happened to be at the right place at the right time.

She managed to get away from the house twice to see me (Purportedly, to visit "the temple"). What a truly joyous experience! I bought her a mini skirt and stockings (pretty much my favorite pieces of women's clothing). It was the first time in her life that she had ever worn either type of garment (and only in my hotel room, of course). I am her teacher, showing her what she needs to do to please a man. It is just too good to be true; teaching a girl how to give you pleasure. These kinds of opportunities need to be enjoyed and relished as they come along only once every so often. No money exchanged hands but, of course, I am paying her for her taxi rides to/from the hotel.

I expect you all to understand that there is no way I can share this girl's contact information. This is once in a lifetime for her and I do not want to get her into any trouble with her family. As for the pilot's wife, she did not authorize me to pass along her info so I cannot share her contact details either.

Very nice report, although I would not be that harsh with the mongering scene in Delhi. Mumbai is not that different and the other cities are probably worse. As many guys on various forums have said, over and over again, it's not what you know but who you know (contacts) that really define your experience.

As you were discussing the Lima board, checkout the Dubai forum. It is really hopping and fresh informative reports stream in on a daily basis. Dubai is arguably THE red light district area of the world at the present time - the entire city is just swamped with mongering activity 24 hours a day...

Here is the thing. I suspect that Delhi may actually be a great place to monger for people who have been here a while and have established the crucial contacts you mention. For someone just off the boat, who has no contacts and no way of getting them, it is another story. You end up wasting money, as I did, on TOI/HT classified ads and chasing a whole series of red herrings due to lack of reliable information. This is why I have posted my learnings about the club scene over the past few months. There is no equivalent in Delhi to, say, a Tequila Rocks in Lima or BATS in Jakarta, which are sure things at a reasonable price, even for newbies.

Thanks for the tip on the Dubai board. I have been following it for some time. I have actually visited Dubai a couple of time but had no idea what was really going on until I check the board. However, since you mention it, Dubai is a case in point. Cyclone is the Dubai equivalent of Tequila Rocks and BATS. I know where to go in Dubai the moment I get off the plane. Not so in Delhi.

Maybe I was a little harsh in my comments but I think we would all agree that places like Dubai, Bangkok, Jakarta, Manila, Lima, Bogota and Rio have more to offer than Delhi when it comes to mongering. Please do not get me wrong, I ended up having a good time in Delhi but it took three trips to get grounded and even then it was as much thanks to dumb ass luck as anything else.

You may be right about Agni. I do not remember the name of the bar at Claridges but it was a vodka bar and entrance was free the week night I was there. The crowd was, as you say, young rich kids.

Match the telephone nos, web page layout and content styles, you will notice the connection soon enough. The aim of this group is to fleece the monger through i) High rates - 3 to 4 times the going rates, when they deliver, ii) to run scams similar to this one, iii) Push up prices in general.

Let us work collectively to run them out of business, by sharing contacts, info on prices and resolving not to fall in to their trap.

I know it is Delhi and not Dubai that we re talking about. But just as the name of Cyclone came up, I think now Cyclone seems to have run up into difficulties recently. I loved the Broadway Hotel. It is almost like a 24 hour seven eleven, with great selection of Arab, CIS, Chinese and Afro girls. It is all laid out like a buffet.
