The 70-90% rule of thumb (CJ+BATS)
All experienced JKT mongers are aware of this, but I recently figured out an interesting rule of thumb -- quite convenient actually:
- Usually at BATS, 90% of the girls are working girls
- Usually at CJ's, 70% of the girls are working girls, the rest are girls having fun on the town (many of them coming in a group of friends to celebrate one of their's birthday) EXCEPT Sunday/Monday/Tuesday where the 90% rule prevails, ie 90% of girls at CJ's are working ladies on those 3 specific nights.
Hope this gives some rough ideas for newbies out there, at least you know where you set foot.

I think you are pretty accurate with that statistic and I would add 30 Bar at Le Meridien at 90% as well with a much lower standard. The only point of clarification for those who aren't familiar with the "scene" in Jakarta is that it is far from obvious that the percentages are that high because many of the girls will not approach you directly. I know (naive) bules who have spent 2 or 3 hours in BATS and "never noticed" ANY WG's in there.

Maybe another 90% rule of thumb is that out of 10 hotties to be found in the bule-circuit bars, 9 of them will NOT be at 30 Bar. The talent pool is definitely deeper at BATS and CJ's. But still a good chance that you will find several women worth boning at Meridien on any given night.
