It is quite funny when they are virtually in your face and you act as though they are not even there. I am sure I was called something fairly rude and disgusting in Tagalog but I just walked away quickly but ready to deal with him if he came back for more, which he didn't. I wouldn't really want to be in the street exchanging blows with one of the locals, with all the risks that entails and prefer to walk away rather than cause an unecessary scene.

The other thing I noticed on my trip here was that fukin annoying perimeter fence. It means that if you want to go to SM Mall you have to walk the whole length of Perimeter Road (if you are staying up that end of AC) to the Jeepney Station in order to cross the road to get there. Why they don't put in some crossing points along Perimeter Road is beyond me?

Even though the bar scene did not quite work out as I had planned, I would certainly come back again. I think 5-6 days would probably be enough for me but it is nice to be able to read the AC thread in future and be able to put everything into context, very difficult to do unless you have actually been here in person.

But the point has always been that those of us who don't like to waste drinks and time on cherries would like them clearly identified as so. A cherry girl is not necessarily a cherry girl but a way for the girls to get out of being with someone they don't want to be with.
