I think it's admirable. And to Clam. Yes, I know the price of laptops. I buy at least one a year (laptop or chromebook) for a side job. It just strikes me as a bit expensive. Again, no judgement. It just shocked me on this board because so much energy is put into saving a dollar over taxi rides or using pesos to save a few dollars.
I have no qualms about getting a box of chocolates or flowers for a go to girl. But even if I find an $80 laptop, that's more of a gift than I'd spend. To each his own. I'm feeling pretty cheap now. LOL I suppose I might feel differently than if I visited every few months.
In the USA, many spoiled snowflakes would be insulted with a used gift. In Tijuana, in my experience, they are happy with used laptops or smartphones because it is better than not having it, especially for students who are working their way through school by working in the clubs. Have run into several nursing students here and used windows laptops are appreciated for school work. I'm always ready to help beautiful appreciative nursing students with school supplies, because I am hoping more hot nursing students show up at the clubs when word spreads about the generous Americans! Asking "Estudias or Trabajas?" will help you find out what the chica is doing and if she is a student.

I took videos of long, passionate sessions with a few hot girls. Girls obviously not getting anything if its free. From the video at least. Maybe they were worried that if they said no they wouldn't get the sale. Maybe they just really like him. Worked fine. Also I gave my old Samsung Galaxy phone to a friend when I upgraded. They had an older phone and was glad to get it from me. It was in great condition because I kept it in a case. Now to your point about 3rd World women laughing and not accepting used items is highly inaccurate. I don't know where you got that from or is this first hand information that you obtained?

But we all know HK tracks it. So yes, whether it's a quota, or kickback, or whatever, yes I believe management tracks it at some level.
As to your point about most Mexicans would love used gifts. These girls are not most Mexicans. These girls have the ability to earn 10 times what "most" Mexicans earn. I agree, many have come from a very tough past. But at $80 per arriba, that is a distant past.
