Your pardoned, we we were all ignorant at some point
Please pardon my ignorance. I am going to Cartagena in late August for a conference (my first time in Colombia; I have been to Brazil a number of times). This event will be held at the Hotel Caribe where I (and everyone else) will be staying.
I se that it is very close to Playa Hollywood, so that is convenient. But I was wondering about the hotel's policy on bringing chicas (from Playa Hollywood or wherever) back to my room, or if I should go to a motel, and if so, which is recommended.
I also read that LDV is a ripoff, so I shall avoid it, but what about Isis? Or any other clubs; due to the conference (and my getting older) I am not interesting in clubs at 0300 h.
Thank you for any help and if anyone is going to be in Cartagena at the same time as I, please contact me through the ISG.
Josht69, Black Page gave you solid advice, I personally do not like the short time hotels (or Love Hotels as some call them) because when using them I always feel rushed. If I were in your shoes I would also get an apartment down in El Laguito for a reasonable price in a building like "Edificio del Mar." that is girl friendly and then I could relax more with the ladies and enjoy myself more. The square where Black Page told you to go find the ladies is also called Plaza de LOS Coches. Point in fact, your hotel the Hotel Carib is where those USA Secret Service agents got themselves into a bind, so I would think their tolerance for that type of thing is very low indeed.
One 5 star hotel is GF (at a price)
I stayed at the Radisson Hotel. There were no girl issues whatsoever. I brought in two Venezuelan chicas, one with cedula alone. The front desk was 100% cool with my chicas.
I was charged about $42 apiece (breakfast was another $15}.
I suspect all of the high end hotels are guest friendly in CTG.
