Ummm. Absolute fantasy, assuming that these girls are prostitutes. "Only" $1.75 a ficha? You do realize that majority of Mexicans make less than $2/ hour, do you not? You might make $4/ hour if you have a professional degree. That $6/ hour puts your chica in an upper middle class income level in Mexico, and it involves doing very little work.

This is why HK and other bars are full of putas. Even the ones that don't pull 5 arribas a night make a very decent living selling fichas, doing dances, and getting dollar tips. The alternative to most of those girls is working in a cell phone store or a restaurant for a few bucks a day (not an hour). Don't confuse Mexico with US. The metrics are not the same.

Is presently about 90 pesos a day, or 12 peso or half an Al Pastor taco an hour. Obrador is propsosing to double that min wage to stimulate the sconomy.

So if a puta pulls 1 arriba a night at $100 or 2,000 pesos, she's making about 20 times Mexico's min wage workers. HK's popular girls have said they do 10 arribas or $1,000 a night average. They would be making 200 x min wage.
