Delhi Trip Contiued. 5th and last.
sometime ago my comment / inquiry after coming out of the famous mahipalpur spa and seeing the board of sushanto luxury spa had elicited response from our guru antiklpd (and surprise of surprises he had not got even a hj there) as well as a few others. the impression i got from all their reports was that this would be a spa with bigger rooms and ambiance and class a cut above the rest. so with great expectation on my last day in delhi (this trip) on the way to the airport made a foray for the sushanto luxury spa.
from the entrance a flight of stairs takes you to the reception area. this flight of stairs was slightly dirty and not so impressive. the reception did have a reasonable ambiance and was quite spacious and different. their rates were higher. whereas at other spas a 60 min oil massage costs in the region of 2-2. 4k (without any deal) here the rates were 2800- for 60 min. i asked for the therapists suggested by rajesharddick. both were not available and then had to go with the therapist given by the reception. i was taken to the room and again a disappointment. the rooms / cubicle was even smaller than the rooms of the other spas, and it was not even clean, with the wall slightly dirty (i was wondering how ak had commented that the rooms were bigger and more plush than the other spas ). the therapists was average. she gave me an average massage and for extras she said that at this spa they give nothing further than hj and the price was fixed at 2k. no amount of haggling moved her and finally as could not waste an investment of 60 minutes had to accept. surprisingly for some reason inspite of her best efforts i could not achieve a happy ending. after she had been pummeling jhonny for quite some time i gave up and told her to let it be. when i went for the shower found that the water was only coming at a trickle and she took me to another room for the shower. when she took me to the other room i suddenly realized what ak had reported. this room was larger that all the other rooms, was much better decorated and even had a huge bathtub apart from a shower. though here also the water was coming out of the shower only as a trickle. i asked her how many such rooms they had and she said only one and they use it only for emergencies. i thought wtf, what kind of emergency is there for a massage with extras. probably this was a vip room for their favored guests and so ak had got that room because he was favored or because of his appearance / personality. however the overall experience was below expectation and even below average. with such high charges and not so good ambiance or cleanliness it really is not worth it. our old favorite at mahipalpur is by far much much better. and so finally my delhi trip came to an end but can't wait to find some excuse for another trip.
