Not to mention that one girl who told me she can go with customers and after some lady drinks said that it's her period today. Yeah wtf girl.

It's not fun if there's a gazillion things on a checklist before you can sit down and buy her a drink, or if you can never be sure.

But I also feel many Khmer girls are not ambitious, poorly educated, the whole country sometimes feels unambitious and lost in the past. PP has improved but is a trashcan in some corners. If I was marooned in PP I would open a metal workshop and succeed. Cambo workers can't seem to screw a work bench together from some old pallets. They prefer to hover in the dirt. It can well be that scoring (P4 P) is easier in Bangkok, Pataya etc. Many mongers write along this tangent in this forum. I have had solitary evenings in PP, but on every trip I went, eventually I got lucky, and I always thought the girl that I liked also got lucky meeting me. And it's probably best to avoid all the Riverside hustlers who run up to every Western face they see aggressively asking for their business, and not taking no for an answer.

Probably best just to ask the hotel staff if they can recommend someone. Often they'll have a few guys on call or even stationed out front. They can be more trusted than the randoms that come up to you on the street, because they know the hotel staff can track them down if there are any complaints. It's in their best interests not to rip you off, because they don't want to lose face with the hotel, or especially to lose the connection. The problem with the guys on the street is that you may have no idea how to track them down later if something goes seriously wrong.

(Also, just because they're loosely connected to the hotel doesn't mean they won't know where to find girls for you. They also they can be trusted not to tell the staff all about it afterwards. They've seen it all before).

If you're not staying at a hotel and want to go with a tuk-tuk driver off the street, choose one of the guys that isn't hustling every other person who walks by. Someone more laid back, as it's a sign that they're not desperate for customers, which means that they've already got a stream of steady repeat customers, which means that they're good at their jobs, and can be trusted.

Finally, I usually use Grab anyway. If you find someone you like, just get their WhatsApp, and they'll be happy to show you around 'off-app" another time. More $$ for them since you're cutting out the middle-man. Plus, you've got their Grab account info, so they know not to leave you out in the woods somewhere, LOL.

Oh, and to the other responder who mentioned Cyrcee's: that finally closed for good at the end of April. It had closed down a couple of years ago but moved locations (with Sona Horny Secret Bar moving into its old location). But that new location finally shut down as well.

Don't think I would have found those places on my own. There were a couple of taxi drivers/guides on this site at one time, sadly one of them ran afoul of the law, got busted in an underage prostitution sting, but he should have been released by now. Not sure what ever happened to him.

I felt a little sorry for him because he was a small player who got caught up in a sting operation while much larger players got away with it scot free, but underage is underage. The last thing in the world I need is to get busted for that BS.

**Hotel*.

Lux Riverside Hotel & Apartment. Booked through Agoda, in the red light area, good price, got early check-in and a free upgrade to a king-size bed. The room was quiet as requested, but I didn't like it. The armchairs were definitely old, dirty and in need of replacement. Not because they weren't clean, but because they were old. The room looked like an alcove. Breakfast wasn't very good. Also, for my taste, it's too much to be on the red street, better to be about ten minutes' walk away.

*Pay girls*.

Street 136, like 130 and the following streets, is full of bars and, unfortunately, scams. .

It's very easy to find a girl to have a drink with, but very difficult to find a pretty one who will come to the hotel.

There's no place to have sex in the bars, and they have to come to the hotel with a barfine (about $15), but the best ones hardly ever do.

I wasn't there just for the girls, but it was tough. I brought some pretty ones to the hotel after hours of searching, and not every night. Prices, apart from the barfine, are around $70-80 for 2 hours. Behavior: only one was acceptable, and she stayed for two extra hours. The others were indecent, especially one with whom I had agreed on two hours and who wanted to leave after half an hour. Paying afterwards, I said OK (I certainly don't hold anyone back), but I paid her half. When she asked for 20 for the taxi (which costs 1 there, by the way), I told her again to leave, and goodbye.

Be careful with your ID card too. Not everyone has one, and the hotel (rightly!) asks for it. I don't know why not everyone has an ID card, one of them was definitely over 18 (I think around 25), but she didn't have one. Another one in another city brought it the next day, and I took it to the hotel the day after. Everything was fine. 23 years old.

**Other things to do*.

Beautiful temples, avoid massage scams (they say they'll steal from you while they massage you), nice riverside with a party on Saturdays, nice and cheap boat trip.

Thanks for the report. Having travelled many times to PP I understand that it is not as easy to get the pretty ones to come back to hotel. Generally the more attractive ones have either expat or local BFs and only need drinks for pocket money. It takes effort to find those that are willing and need the money. Of course beauty is always in the eye of the beholder and sometimes that ones that are not as attractive are the best performers. Attitude in the bar is a good sign and always ask them upfront if they go with customers. If not then more onto the next one. I find PP a good place to hunt, especially if you have been before and have time. There are the usual places that you will find girls willing to come home, larger bars like Xanadu which has a lot of girls. I have noticed though that more and more do not stay long time, which is fine as I prefer sleeping alone anyway. I will be back there in early October and will provide a field report. It is not Pattaya or BKK but worth a few days of hunting, as long as you have things to do during the day!

Back in PP after a year. First thing to notice is the new airport which was large, very efficient and easy to get out of. Trouble is that it is about 50 minutes away from downtown PP but that is what most large cities are doing these days.

First couple of nights my wingman and I did the usual bar hopping to try and establish the bars that were worth the time. There are a lot of girls in the various bars in 136 and 130 and very few customers. All the girls talk about things being very quiet and most wanted to be bar fined and openly talk about it. Things must be very quiet for them. We tried, Xanadu, Ponytails, Fantastic, Airforce, Baccara, Nana and Wild Orchid. All had a lot of girls and there were a few that were worth bar fining. We took girls from Fantastic and Nana and they were good company. My girls were affectionate and gave a good GFE experience but not P.S. Interestingly both my girls loved DATY and both gave BBBJ unprompted. The other thing they both did was stay until 6 am which is something the girls have not previously done in my last few trips to PP. I guess things are tough for them and figure that going back to a bar the has few customers is not worth it. WIR, probably not given the sheer number of girls on offer in the various bars. Trying a few others is what we will do over the next two days.

So far PP looks very much a punters paradise based on the sheer volume of girls to punter ratio. The bars all offer the some experience, girls, drinks and games and some bars are pumping one night but dead the next. One night in Airforce we were the only punters but last night it was very busy and the girls were happy.

Last night we went to Ponytails and my wingman and I both liked a couple of nice looking girls with tight bodies and pretty faces. My wingman agreed to a short time with her but she would not move lower than $70. He was happy to pay that. My girl did not have any ID and I know my hotel would not allow her in without it. My girl was keen and said we could go to a short time hotel, but I was not that keen given she had no ID. She said she was 22 but I was a little hesitant about her age. Normally I do not chase the young ones as I do not want to teach. However, in the bar she was very hands-on and not shy at all. She could well be 22 but I still would like to see some ID. She is either a very good actress or has been with customers and knows the score well. Regardless, not having ID always makes me a little nervous about possible scams so, I did not take her up on the short time hotel. Others may have more experience on this and can provide some insight into which hotels the girls may take you to. Maybe roaming houses?
