Sorry for the delay, but back to work. Busy busy busy.
Chica left and we headed to the WU to change some $$$. This trip was the 1st 2weeks of June and the exchange rate was rising gradually throughout my stay. I had been changing at the cambia outside of the TL at 37. 5-1 but the rate at WU was 37. 95 so there we went.
After dropping off $$$ back at hotel, off to the Black bOx on the beach. Hung out there most of the afternoon. Drinking, mamajuana shots and good conversation. A friend of mine was having a BBQ that evening so we eventually stumbled our way from the beach to the TL to change and rest up.
Started walking to the Villa he had rented and met some friends coming out of Rockys who were headed that way too and grabbed a ride with them. The Villa was on the road behind Passions so saved us a few minutes. When we got there, let me say. Whoa! Gtf out of here. Nice 4th gated Villa with pool outside covered area for BbQ. Huge. A few other friends from another board were there with some chicas, and someone even called more chicas.
Another good night with food, friends, chicas, and fun. BBq chicken, burgers, ribs, salad, and all the fixings were on the menu. We were steadily drinking and bs'ing with the chicas. Then someone pulls out the tequila shots for everyone and that's the last I remember. Hazy night thereafter. Everybody decided they were not going out for the night.
Me and my wingmen were going to try. I had planned to meet up with my favorite bartender but she was late getting back to the bar and I just left and called it a night. Only night I did nothing and it felt good as, I was tired. Tbc
Not alot hapening today as a couple of the guys head to Cabarete. Me and my wing just hang out at the TL pool. Some other people are there and we just chill out. Not a bad day. Just humid as usual. Eat lunch at hotel.
The evening is the hockey game (Bruins / Canucks) and we plan on hanging out at Jolly Roger's to watch game then head out to clubs.
Late afternoon we decide to head over to Passions and check out there 6pm shift. Well, we get there and there are some other friends there checking out the 20-30 Chicas. Some real Cuties there, but 1 IMMEDIATELY gets my attention. She is a tall flacca, perfect flat stomach, Big brown eyes, long hair. And I should mention HOT! She just comes up to me and stands, leans over the bar and smiles. Braces Too. My espanol is VERY limited but through my friends chica found out she was relatively new to Passions. Only been there 2 weeks. I knew I had to have her. TLN it was on $5000 from 6p. I didn't have enough pesos on me so out I went hopped on a motoconcho in the rain and hurried back to grab some. Luckily the driver had an umbrella and I def used it. Made it back to Passions hoping she was still available and she was.
2 of my other friends grabbed there amigas too. The night looked promising. I told my guys that we were headed to the hotel and dinner and we would meet them at the WC later.
Went back to The TL and changed and headed to the Scotch and Sirloin for dinner. My chica was very sweet and she knew how to have fun. She ordered herself a glass of wine and had the Seafood Alfredo. I had the Filet Rare. Had a good time. I had my translator on me so we could have a decent conversation. After dinner we head over to Jolly Rogers to watch the NHL game. MY gal was cool and just hung with us drinking and having a good time. Pretty much the GFE.
After the game we head over to WC and the night was on. A bunch of friends, some with chicas were there and we continued drinking and having a blast. MY favorita bartender was giving me the stink eye, since I had not met her the previous night. From there headed to Classicos where we danced and drank for hours. The music was loud and we were drunk. What a combo! Stopped by Latinas but by then we were ready to hit the sack.
Made our way to TL and had a great nightly session. This gal has a Great body. No fat! Damn. Next morning a little fun then sent her off on a motoconcho as we were headed to BB's later in the day. I will definitely look for her again next time I 'm in Sosua. Tbc

The question I'm most asked about my frequent trips is,"Is it safe"? They send me news clippings about the latest murder or cholera problems.
The answer has to be. Depends. It's still a third world country.
If you know your way around, or hang with people who do, if you can fully understand the dynamics of what is happening around you, the culture of poverty vs tourism, the bribes and corruption that is the way of life, if you read and heed the posts on this board, it can as safe, or even safer than at home.
But, like anywhere, you are always vulnerable to random crimes of opportunity, and if you are a regular you could be targeted over time.
No matter how cool you are, on your way to the hotel a truck load of local thugs could suddenly screech to a stop in front of you (and your amigos / amigas) and in 60 seconds its over. If you visit the same ATM or liquor stor on a regular basis. Ditto.
My very well connected novia recently got thrown to the ground off a motoconcho and robbed near the Western Union office in her home town. Wasn't a lot of money but she lost her wallet, and got a couple of bruised legs.
The point is, for newbies, be very very carefull, and for seasoned mongers, don't get too complacent (or too drunk).
I got to the point I thought I could go anywhere in the DR, at any time of day or night, as long as I was "connected".
Not true anymore.
There's no racism here, but unfortunately my white skin quickly identifies me as a non native, therfore a potential lucrative target.

Personally I prefer daytime.
It is true that overall the tourist economy is very quiet right now. I have rented an apartment at a place with a lap pool and wi-fi (but only fans, no a / see) for $400 per month. But no chicas allowed inside, which is OK with me, but rules out for most ISG guys. Airfare $530 Miami-Santo Domingo-Puerto Plata-Miami.

The same girls that used to cost $50 in Pasions are now going for $130. The talent level hasn't changed but Peter has to recoup the cost of the fishbowls and all the other gimmicks he put in the new Pasions to go a long with the "New Sosua." However, I liked Pasions better when it was a little corner outdoor hut and prices were more in line with the market. Can't fault Peter, if there are guys willing to pay the "New Sosua" prices.
As far as this girl being there for only 2 weeks, it could be true or BS. Just like we have a game plan and lines before we go down there, the Chicas have their story to get more money mapped out. You're a weekend worrier and she might do this for a living so I suspect her game might be sharper. My last trip in Sosua I bumped into Chicas I hadn't seen in over 3 years and they were still up in Clasicos or working at New Garden. Its funny cause I see youtube vids, blogs, and websites with guys pontificating about Sosua and they have pics of babes we were running trains on in 2006.

But you will have to be on the lookout for Peter during the night because he does venture out from time to time. He will not bust the girls if they are out in the bars or clubs by themselves or with friends, but if he sees them with guys he will approach you and expect a salida a fee and the girl will get into trouble.

Plus, she could be in there partying with friends or alone (and perhaps looking to make an extra buck). Who is to say she can not go out and enjoy her time off. Either way, thats between the girl and Peter if he ever asked. I certainly would not pay and exit fee for a girl who is already off work.
About arranging for the girls to come over after work. It can and does happen. About 2 weeks ago, I had one come back to my place for 1500 pesos (after her shift). She was on the early shift and got off around 10pm. Granted, she met me inside my hotel entrance at the designated time. After the deed, I wanted to go out. She wanted to sleep. So I gave her a choice to sleep or go home. She chose to sleep. Initially I was going to allow it. I know where she works, I know Peter, and I only had a small suitcase with clothes. But I thought, what if I bring another girl back? So I change my mind and gave her some pesos to leave. She looked a little sad but what can I do.
