Besides, I have had a couple of hard-to-explain statements on my CC, even when using it in what looked like regular ATMs in the clubs. Many of the clubs have anonymous statements (even saw "restaurant" in one of them, which was quite cool). But I have had the odd CC statement where it was rather blatantly obvious precisely what I had been spending my euros on. Not cool.

I am a little confused and wonder whether you jape. It is only because you mention it that I may be missing something.
If the credit card is your own credit card then why is it a problem what notation appears on your credit card statement? I mean the credit card statement is for your review of the transactions to check your spending is correct. It is not for the credit card company to say you have been going to brothels and stop your credit line is it? Is that a term of your credit agreement?
Or is the credit card statement seen by your employer? Or by Family for their review as well of the transactions therein?
There have been questions asked on this forum by members asking which clubs accept credit cards to pay for entrance or to pay the girls with. So those members have no problem with the item appearing on their credit card. So I am wondering whether we have all been missing a trick that you seem to have picked up on and we have not as to issues with paying for the clubs on your credit card.
Sorry to ask but it has me lost why this is even an issue.

My point was that I was taking cash out from a club ATM, and would have expected XXX bank or XXX ATM on the statement. Instead it had "Sauna Club Cash". When taking CC cash from reception with surcharge you kind of know what your'e getting into, so I would ask them what they show.
I could take cash on the my company CC (from an allowance) or from private CC, in which case the itemized statement used to come through the post. Neither options are very desirable with such a statement on them. Not that my wife scrutinizes my statements, but it does stand out to anyone who happen to look.
I would expect other people than me would want to be careful what their CC statements say for various reasons, which was really my point.
ISG subscription payment comes up as some sort of charity for a reason like Carpassio has pointed out. Best to be safe.

So it is only a problem if you are using the credit card of your employer which expense claim department may see or if your wife or your father sees your credit card statement.
I would have thought one would be using a personal credit card for their adventures which was why I needed an explanation. Regardless using cash is more discreet and luckily there are few restrictions in transferring money to be picked up in Germany.

I would hope guys who use a joint family credit card or employer's credit card to pay for the entry to a FKK or for paying the girls in the club would think ahead as to how that would look on their credit card statement should it need explaining. Always best to have personal accounts or just use cash. Generally, most of us operate in advanced economies making financial transactions easy to execute at a personal level.

If they accept payment by credit card, that will be in booking records, so they will pay tax. This is the reason why they don't accept credit card payment for entrance fee. They don't want to pay tax. That's it!
