I urge newbies to read all the threads on all the boards and make up their own minds whether they can get better value (taking all their outlay into consideration) anywhere else. If they think they can, let them go there and report back to us.

I have no personal interest in encouraging people to visit Sosúa. Quite the opposite. I don't run a business there and I own no property there. There is still the same number of chicas needing or wanting to make money. Sure, the haitianas were thinned out for a bit, but have been coming back in numbers for some weeks, and the dominicanas haven't gone anywhere. They are just hungrier. So with the same number of chicas but far less tourists (because of the purge and the usual seasonal factors) , it follows that prices will drop. And that is indeed what is happening. And if the trend continued, the same would apply to bars and restaurants eventually. My close friends either live here or will regularly return. So, taking a selfish view, if the number of mongers visiting greatly declined, it would be to my personal advantage. But I would hate to discourage any newbie hesitating to come and stop them having the time of their life as is being reported by guys week after week. And they don't have to pay Passions or Blackbeards prices either.

Though I agree that the "make it rain" crews that roll through Sosua doesn't hurt anyone's chances to get pussy it can make one uncomfortable and annoyed. I am caucasion and far from racist but I will in fact categorize that certain group of guys that go to Sosua and act like assholes, it just happens that these guys for whatever reason happen to always be African American, why that is I don't know. Believe me I have seen plenty of gringos from all parts of the world show up and act like idiots but that doesn't mean that the "make it rain" crowd doesn't exist, it does and we all know it.

For example, on my last trip to Sosua I was sitting in the restaurant in Sosua enjoying my dinner when a young man with his hat on crooked, wife beater and pants hanging down to his knees came into the restaurant area with a boombox set it on a table and cranked the shit out of it, making every patron in the place extremely uncomfortable including Lorenzo who was having dinner with his wife, child and some of his friends. He and his friends proceeded to sit there and shoot their filthy mouths off about all the things that they did with different girls that day. Now I know the NG is a mongers hotel but there are times where a person should know to close their fucking piehole and not put a boombox on a dinner table. At the NG it is obvious when it is considered dinnertime in the restaurant area because they put linens on the table but this clown could have given a shit. The whole time this was going on I was hoping Lorenzo would grow a set of balls and tell this mofo to pack up and get lost but he didn't and this assbag did the same thing the following night.
