Thankyou for posting on my Forum. I enjoyed reading your narrative. I mentioned yesterday on the Davao Board about the Marco Polo & Casa Leticia complimentary van service at Davao Airport.

If you are in Cebu City in January and you stay at the Marco Polo you might just run into me. I will be in Davao then also and at the Marco Polo, Davao. Please note to make any Cebu Hotel reservation NOW if you will be there during Sinulog. I was there for the fiesta two years ago and also four years ago. Both times I left for Davao as the crowds and activities filled the roads and streets throughout the nicer sections of Cebu City.

For each of the last three years I intended to Post here during Halloween Week about the Haunted Hotel in which I often stay in Cebu (not the Marco Polo). I felt guys would find it uninteresting, despite GE's comments, "this sounds facinating", when I gave him an abbreviated version of my experiences there beginning back in 1998. Just today I had beautiful Rema, now living in Cebu City (her nude photos are in this Forum), ask me to bring er to Makati City or Davao. She finally told me why she did not want to meet me in Cebu. The Hotel we stayed at is HAUNTED. He words not mine. I already knew this, having stayed there many times before.

She said that while I slept in our Deluxe Jacuzzi Room on the ground floor she heard someone walking around our room. Footsteps in the room, NOT outside in the Hall as I suggested to her. She said, "someone was in the room that night. You were sleeping so I did not scream out. I just hugged you tightly and waited for morning". She firmly refuses to ever stay in this Hotel again. She is NOT the first woman to tell me this. My daughter's mother also will NEVER stay there again.

Personally, I was never fond of the fucking spirit, ghost or whatever making the noises in the middle of the night or whispering softly while everyone slept, but what the fuck! It never bothered my children (neither my 2 daughters or my son have had any problems there) or drank my Champange.

I had such a good time in the Phils last October that i'm headed back in January. Maybe i'll be inspired to file another marathon report like before. I'm meeting several of the same girls, and many more prospects. I really am looking for the right girl to have a longer term relationship with; in the interim the journey may be better than the destination.

Question for all you Philippine experts: Is there a safe way to transport california champagne to the Phils? Those girls in the phils just aren't drinkers. I'm thinking a bottle of champagne from the USA just may be a good way to loosen them up. Special occasion and champagne, and celebration and all that.

What if the bottle breaks. The carbonation might assure that the liquid gets thoroughly distributed into all my clothes. If i put it in a ziploc bag, the bag will probably explode.

I saw one wine shop in Cebu, but they only had Andre and Dom P. Even i won't drink Andre. And im not willing to pay for Dom P. What's the answer? Is there a reasonably priced outlet in Cebu for a modest champagne like Frixinet? Is there a safe way to pack it in checked luggage? Your advice will be greatly appreciated.

I posted on the Davao Board here about how to bring wines and champagne in your checked bag. I have been bringing my own wines and champagnes for five years now. I have never had a single bottle break. Last Trip I bourght five bottles of Champagne, 4 genuine (including Vieuve cliquot 'la Grande Dame 1996' & Comtes de Champagne Taittinger blanc de blanc 1999) and a 2003 Schramsberg Brut Rose 2003. Also two 2001 Riedel Crystal Champagne glasses and two wine glasses. ALL arrived safely in Manila.

Read the Post on the Davao Board. Layer your checked bags with clothes first, then the Wine/Champagne wrapped in bubble wrap (US Post Office of mail boxes Etc) and have it fit tight so they do not move around. Then layer it with more clothes on top. I have special carrying cases for the glasses and they always arrive safely.

There is an excellent Wine/Champagne Store at Manila Int'l Airport in the departure area duty free section. Many a time on my way to China and Hong Kong I made some purchases here before takeoff. Hong Kong duty free has excellent red wines and champagnes at arrival area also. I obught a good Moet Chandon Brut Imperial here at a decent price.

Last week I posted some quotes on Champagne in the Davao Board that you may find interesting. I arrive Dec 26 in Manila. I am bringing six bottles of Champagne and three small bottles of California dessert wines as the filipians love these also. Champagne works great with women not only in the Philippines but the Hong Kong Chinese ladies. women in PRP China, Thailand, Korea and Japan.

In the US Cost Plus World Market chain has some nice deals on Vieuve Cliquot and a few other champagnes and sparkling wines. So does Costco now. Still time to order from Wine Express on the internet and a mixed case of wines/champages gets you a 15% discount. The ladies in the Philippines love it. My Rema could not get enough of it. Nor could Jen, Cherryl (and her cousin, Leone), Lory, the Panther in Makati City and many more.

DS is a virtual movable feast of Champagne, and seems to have zero problems bringing it in. There are a couple of places in Davao (Henny's, Claude's, Hola Espana), where you can buy Dom, Ruinart, and perhaps Moet et Chandon, but they're expensive and not vintage champagnes. DS treated us to a bottle of Ruinart (I think it was a 2003 but I could be wrong) at Claude's (Cafe de Ville), and it was excellent, but extremely expensive.

It's true that most Filipinas know nothing about Champagne, or about wines in general, but they really seem to like the stuff once they've been introduced to it. Of course, I'm never sure if they really appreciate the quality of the stuff that DS normally brings, or if they could tell the difference between the cheap stuff, the good stuff and the truly excellent vintages. But they sure do guzzle it down.

Thanks for the info guys. If you haven't had any mishaps yet, I'll risk it. And it sounds like the in-terminal shop in manila is the best bet. More expensive, but shorter trip and less overall handling. I'll just bring bubble wrap and plastic bags with me. Not being an expert, I guess I'll just shop by price.

After getting laid my favorite topic is good champagne and excellent red wines. There is some selection of champagne at Tinder Box on Archbishop Reyes next to the Crossroads Complex. This is a nice place to have a drink also. The Crossroads complex next to it has tons of ladies after 9:30PM wednesday through Saturday nights. Go for dinner and buy your champagne and have a carrier so you do not lose it. At each place ask the Manager to have someone hold your bottles while you have a drink and check out the Cebu Pussy. I really enjoy going here.

Guiltyfeet, I think you said you intend to stay at Marco Polo in Cebu. This is only a few minutes taxi ride from this area. Also try Ralph's Wine Bar for a good selection of Champagnes. I constantly get asked what is my favorite Champagne. For value try the NV Vieuve cliquot ($37-$42) or the Schramsberg Blanc de Blanc or Schramsberg Blanc de noir ($ 29-$32).

Please note that the Wine Store in the Manila Int'l Airport is located in the departure area, NOT arrivals. I am in Cebu City at Marco Polo in early January.

We need to mention good places for meeting women in Cebu as far more guys will travel here than to Davao. I do like this City and it was my #1 Philippine destination before I visited Davao.

Cebu has plenty of Clubs both classy and sleazy. Downtown on Jakosalem, Sanciangko and Pelaez Sts there are dozens of Clubs with women frequented primarily by filipinos. All are owned by Chinese. Manny's on Sangcianko St is one that I often frequented during the years 1993-2000. The women got totally nude and it was a fun hangout. I took a ride down there with the Kid last july for the first time in seven years. Many of the Clubs remained.

Do not walk around at night down here; take a taxi to/from the area. It is pretty run down and full of "denizens of the night". I once heard that if yo walk down to the maze of streets just below Jakosalem during the night, in the shadows will be doznes of prostitues soliciting filipinos. Obviously, the cost will be little. In 1992 I walked down to the main Post office and took this route back to Pelaez St where I was staying at some dumpy Hotel. It really IS a maze and even in the daytime I almost got trapped in the winding streets there.

If you are adventurous enough to try this, bring 2-3 friends with you and "be prepared for anything". I was intrigued when I heard of this possibility but I saw the danger in being LOST here when, a few years earlier, I walked through it in daylight.

A guy told me of a parking lot where one night a taxi driver took him. He sat in the cab and out of the shadows came a dezen street walkers. They all paraded around the cab and a few lifted their skrts or made suggestive poses to intice him. He made a selection, she got in, and they drove off. He seid this place was off Osmena Blvd. I do not trust taxi drivers in Cebu or Manila but I will ask the young filipinos who work the bar at Crowne Regency Hotel about this. They have a good idea of this activity. They can also direct you to "casa" in Guadalupe area. Apparently there are many there.

The Upscal Clubs are the only ones I venture to today. A mile north of the Fuente Osmena circle are 8 Clubs located equally on opposite sides of the street. They include Exotica, Dimples, Papillons, Black Hole, Viking, Californian, etc. One block north of the Circle on a side street is the Lone Star Club. You can shoot pool in there. I visited back in 200 but did not care for the place so I never returned.

Down Osmena Blvd south of the circle is first Silver Dollar and a few blocks further south is the Firehouse. I always thought the Firehouse had the hottest ladies but I never had any luck there. The Silver Dollar is a lof of fun and I like to go there during the Happy Hour of 5-9PM. By 7:30PM there are at least 20 women already there and few, if any men. Drinks and ladies drinks are cheaper then and you get lots of attention from the women.

Plenty of hot women at the Silver Dollar and more than a few sleazy ones. I had one of the log term dancers there offer to blow me right at the bar. She wanted P500. There were only two other men in the place down at the corner of the bar but there were at least 25 women in the place, any one fo whom would have seen what was happening. Having my dick sucked in front of 25 women was a little too much for me, so I passed. They do have a nice VIP room which they rent out for P1500. I have never tried it but I did take women from this place on occasion. Price is reasonable.

I like the Crossroads Complex on Archbishop Reyes for meeting regular women in Cebu. You have to go there after 10Pm Wed - Sat nights. This place has a dozen nice restaurants where you can bring a women or dine earlier in the evening before hunting the ladies.

Robinsons Department Store on Fuente Osmean is a great place for meeting regular women AND pros as both go there. The weekends from 09:00AM on are good times for this. Sit at the coffe place in the mallon the second floor and say hello or wave to passing ladies and get their attention. The Park here at the Fuente Osmean circle has lots of pros at night also. Cost should be about P600 here. Sit on the benches near the light as the park gets muggers and other sleazy types also.

If you have time when I am in Davao and are already planning a day in Cebu City we should hit the "maze". I am interested in how this feel compared to my old haunts in Guangzhou. The area in Cebu you describe sounds very much like old Guangzhou. If RP only had barber shops like China.

I took the Kid down to Our Place Ex pat dive bar last Jul'07. It was the first time in seven years I had been in the dump. To get to the maze you must venture further in the squalid undercurrent of Cebu City. You go south on Sanciangko St past Jakosalem St to the pathetic area of residential slums. In there you will find a vast array of tiny, winding streets. I did it during the day and had a difficult time naviagating it. I basically kept going north towards Osmana Blvd until I came out below Jakasalem St.

I have no doubt the area is still full of hookers hiding in the shadows. Could be gangs of street kids also ( I once ran into a gang of street kids on Leyte the night my daughter was born when I walked back from the bar where I was celebrating her birth nine years ago. But again, I am big and do not give the impression I would go down easily in time of trouble (no one wants to die mugging some guy). Still it was not funny. The kids did agree to help me get back to the boarding house (no hotels in this area of Leyte) and I tipped them nicely.

You want to go there, we do it ONLY after Jan 17 when the Kid (NYPD 6 years) is here and we still enlist Spamhogs (Ex Army Ranger Special Forces, Ex Metro PD Detective). I have a friend on Cebu Police and I will have him join us. That is if he agress because I am certain he will tell us we are crazy.

To my knowledge no one else has ever posted on this area, The Maze, in the PI Forum. There IS pussy to be had here nonetheless.
