Hi Everyone,

Had an embarrassing and confusing experience tonight that I thought I should share / ask for comments on.

I was approached online by a "22 yo student" offering "compensated dating".3, 000NTD for 2hours. This was on the mainland hook-up app called "MoMo" &38476; &38476;

I am an ABC and my Chinese is not that great, but I decided to give it a go and ended up texting her on "LINE"

She told me to go to a street in Fengshan District, then called me saying a guy (her pimp) would call me.

He did. And asked me to buy 3, 000NTD worth of "My Card" points at the nearest convenience store.

I did. Then sent a photo of the card I'd and password to the girl.

Next the pimp calls me back and told me the points are valid, but since its my first time using his service, he needs to ensure I am not LE.

He asks me to put up a bond. 20, 000NTD worth of "My Card" points. Which the girl will repay in cash once she meets me and looks at my I'd to ensure I am not LE.

I am uncomfortable with this number, and am pretty sure they already have access to the points I already bought. In any case, only have 2, 000NTD in cash on me. He says this is fine, so I stupidly buy 2, 000NTD more in "MyCard" points.

The guy calls back again saying the points are valid, but the girl is nervous that I really am LE and asks me to buy 8, 000NTD more.

I decline saying (truthfully) I have no more cash. He threatens to kill me.

I get the heck out of the unfamiliar neighborhood and go home. The girl continues to LINE me saying she will definitely refund the deposit money, but that I just need to do it to prove I am not LE. She is very insistent that she will give me good service once the deposit is taken care.

I go on to the "MyCard" Taiwan website and see that the points have already been redeemed. I figured as much. But I have never used "MyCard" so have no idea how it all works, what the point are used for, how to get a cash refund, etc.

I don't have much experience with P4P. Never done outcall before, so don't know how the payment system usually works. And my Chinese is not good enough to navigate the Taiwan websites on mongering.

But seems to me that sending passwords for digital recharge cards before the deed is done is a great way to get ripped off.

I am fine with losing 5, 000NTD. Call it tuition. But just don't want any further trouble with the pimp. He claims he will come after me. He has my phone number.

What you encountered was a classic P4P scam where a girl contacts you online, she miraculously happens to be in the same city as you, you arrange a meet up, but before you can see the girl you need to confirm you're not a cop through various methods that all involve money. It's a classic scam that's been going on for years.

5, 000 isn't that bad. Good thing you had the smarts to pull out before it got any higher. They will keep milking you non-stop and I've known people who've been scammed out of 30, 000+. Consider yourself lucky. And yes, it's "tuition".

What you should do now is just ignore them. Don't confront them, explain yourself to them, or even reply to their texts. They will threaten to kill you or whatever but it's all empty threats. Did you notice that the number they used to call you (not the girl, but the dudes') all look funny? That's because these scam groups are all based in China. So don't worry about the threats. Just completely ignore them and they will leave you alone after a week or two.

For future reference, never solicit a girl online UNLESS the girl or the company is recommended to you by a trusted source who has first-hand experience. Internet P4P in Taiwan is a very dangerous undertaking. Most of them are scams, some of them are cops. You don't want either. There are some legitimate ones out there, but the chances of you finding them by fishing in the blind is way too low. Also, you have no reason to resort to the internet. The streets are littered with walks-ins and almost all of them are legit with market prices and services that are pretty standard. If you're new and iffy about just randomly walking into one, just read up on the reviews in this forum and go to some of the tried and trusted places. I recommend starting with Green House. I'll link you the review in a PM.

I didn't notice the phone number until you mentioned it but you are right, the number shows up on my phone as "+9XXXXXXXX" nine digits total, where as local calls are "09XXX." 10 digits including the "0". All the numbers are like this. The girl, the pimp and one other number which I did not answer after things went south.

I guess they are using VPN to spoof their location on Momo? I noticed the last known location of the girl was within 5km of me.

Thanks very much for your reply and information.

Now that you mention it, yes, the phone numbers are different from local numbers. They were +9XXXXXXXX numbers, not 09XXXXXX numbers like local mobiles.

I am very relieved to know they are probably not in Taiwan.

They must have been using some sort of VPN as the MoMo app showed her location was 5km away from me, but her number was one of the +9XXX. Numbers.

I will definitely stick to the places recommended by more experienced brothers on this forum.

I have been to Green House once before. They kinda gave me a hard time about proving I was not LE. I was not carrying any ID in case I got shook down.

You go in and the first floor is the reception. They take you to a locked 2nd or 3rd floor and you wait in a small dark room that has a massage table. You wait for your lineup. My suggestion for the Fong Shan area is to be polite and pretend you got a call from your wife or something. Even without Chinese, a "honey" or "I come home" will be sufficient. The far reaches of Fong shan has a lot of parlors and since the reception area is in the first floor, you'd have to mind your manners and swiftness there.

In my opinion, I'd stick to the city center places recommended in the previous few pages of this thread for most people. They're by far the most consistent and still a notch above the ones that are not in the city area. But for the same price, the city area ones only result in a HJ, but the outer city areas end up with FS or a BJ. But the girl quality is consistently better in the city area.

As recommended by BruceTea, I decided to hit up Van Gogh to see how it compares to Green House. Here is my review.

First off, directions. Take the MRT to Formosa Boulevard Station and take Exit 10. Walk up towards Qi Xian Road and turn right without crossing the street. Keep walking for a little bit and you'll see Galaxy Casino on your right. The entrance is curved and says Johnnie Walker in huge letters on the top. Go in and you'll see 3 elevators. Take it up to the 14th floor and the elevator will open up to the lobby of Van Gogh. The price is 1600 for 50 minutes of HS with the option for FS at the discretion of each individual girl.

My first impressions of the place are that it's a less fancy version of Green House. The setup is kind of the same. Elevator doors open up to the lobby, there's some people behind a small front desk, and a few chairs in the waiting area. No porn mags that I could see. The decor is quite average with some telltale signs of age, but still pretty good. There's music playing in the background but it's more run-of-the-mill pop songs and less love motel tunes like Green House. Lighting is also dimmer and just straight up yellow lights. The rooms are big and while the bed is still technically a massage bed with a hole for your face, the size is about a single size bed, which gives you more room to work with when you get your thrust on. Overall, the size and ambiance of Van Gogh is better than your usual 1st floor walk-in, but it's a noticeable notch down from Green House.

Some of us hit up places outside of Kaohsiung City for cheap service. Usually the price is 1600 for 40 minutes of FS. And while the quality of the girls can't compare to those in the city, it's still a pretty good bang for your buck when you just need a quick fix. Most of these places seem to be in Feng Shan. There's the strip on Jian Guo Road and some more on Feng Song Road near the 10 Freeway. I hit up Jian Guo Road sometimes when I just need a cheap bang, and the girls used to be doable, but unfortunately I can't say that's the case anymore.

Long story short, the last 3 times I went to the Feng Shan Strip, the girls have been pretty bad. None of the girls I liked before work there anymore, and the new ones have gone sharply down in quality. Before the girls were like 30+ and average a 7, maybe an 8 if you're lucky, but now the girls are pushing on 40 and average 5-6. Seriously, it's that bad. Might be a problem for some, might not for others. Personally, I don't think the Feng Shan Strip is worth going to anymore. If price is your main concern, just go to the old apartment buildings on Qi Xian Road that advertise 24H KTV like Hawaii Spa or something. Same price, 1600 for 40 minutes of FS, but the girls are better. Just my two cents.

The Feng Shan Strip is along Jiu Roo First Road. Along that road, there are SPAs and Massage Parlors (around 10 of them) which can be hits or misses. As Seamaster mentioned, the quality is declining, but if you want to try it out for the massage, it's a good gamble. The massages are somewhat decent and moderately priced. Around 1300-1600 nt for 90 minutes could get a nice full body massage with a possibility of HJ. Anything extra is up to you and the masseuse. I'd say the fun factor is a 7 out of 10. The girls are a hit or miss, but I'd say most are 4-6 out 10 in looks with an occassional 7 or 8 out of 10 in looks.

Beyond the Feng Shan Strip, go to Feng Shan Road and make a left. That intersection should have a 24 hour Fruit Stand and when you make a left, there is a large gas station to your right. You're in the correct direction. Keep going (it'll be a 5-10 minute motorscooter ride or car ride). You'll get to a huge intersection where you will see a McDonald's to your left (see attachment with the red D marked). Don't do anything, keep going straight. That McDonald is the midway point to your destination. For further directions go to Valder's more detailed map seen on Post #28 of this thread.

As you go further, you will see a few SPAs and Massage Parlours mostly to your left (they are ALL on that side). Mostly small and hints of Vietnamese service. One I believe is near a Domino's Pizza. That one looks nice and modern but I've tried it and it was a waste of time. Ugly girls. I've seen 5 of their girls and to me, none are do-able. Keep going and you'll see more. These are it. Several are very good and the I'd rate the service 7 out of 10 for most of them. Girls I'd say you'll easily find someone you'll like. Rating are more favorable than the Feng Shan Strip. Prices are 1600 nt for 40 minutes which includes massage, showers, and a HJ / BJ.

If you keep going, there is a Highway 1 overpass. See pic attachment. Most of the good massage parlors are before that overpass. If you go beyond the overpass, you will see another McDonald's! Beyond the overpass, there are 2 more parlors and passing the McDonald's, you will find another one. The one beyond the McDonald is pretty good. They're all pretty good, but you'd have to find girls to your liking.

Once you pass the one that's beyond McDonald, you can stop or go back. None are beyond that point.

I visited this hotel today that was mentioned in Seamaser's most "#55". Walked in and right away the a guy greeted me and leaded me to a room, and asked me if I was staying overnight or just resting. Anyway, I've never gotten it lower than 3000 nt (that includes everything: room and girl). I've never tipped the girl, but since you got such a great deal, I really don't see why not. Rule of thumb. In Taiwan, NO tipping is expected unless it's stated upfront.
