How is the atmosphere? If I came out for a holiday would I be disappionted? Especially with the dollar at 2:1.

Few years ago before I resided permanently in Dubai, I used to go to some massage parlor in Verdun area. A neat place with Jaccuzi and steam and Philipina masseuse. The massage was fine but you were only able to get a HJ.

Drinks are expensive here! At Intercontinental Hotel, a Jim Beam and coke is $11. I'm not happy!

Came back to Beirut for holidays.
Decided to skip the MP scene and go for the real stuff.
Visited SunSet furnished appratments in Maamaltein around 11pm. Parked my car outside the hotel and headed to the entrance.

If you prefer your own hotel, you should ask the doorbell boy to bring you the ladies. or go to Sunset or a massage parlor for the first time, u get the phone nb of the girl and they u call her back to your hotel if you are staying in your hotel for several days.

Rooms look ok, haven't checked how clean they are, it was kind of dark. I didn't see housekeepers though. Some of the girls are reals gems.

I have been staying in Beirut on and off. I visited Turbo and Corpo Perfeito, but in my view these can only provide some "emergency relief". I have walked in some of the bars around Hamra. But women here are old and ugly, and the whole set up is basically a scam.

Do I really have to get a taxi from the city to the SunSet Hotel in Maamaltein to find nice girls?

Regarding the MP's, what you have sampled in those two places is what you will get in ALL of the others. You need to become a regular to one of the girsl wroking there to get more.
I am sure there are other places similar to Sunset, you need to look and ask for them. Taxis in the area on Maameltein would be of help to you I guess.
3-4-5 stars hotel would have their bellboy ready to assist you. Many taxis would be able to help you too.
