Getting a HJ in an asian MP is not a big deal. But since I did have trouble getting action in VV, thought I'd share.

Walking on the main road towards Ban Sabai bunglows, you will see a few massage parlours on your left.

The first 2 are dud 9 yes I tried) but the last one on the left is pretty interesting.

You may see a few pretty girls outside dressed a little too well for a MP.

The rooms are not really rooms but separated by curtains. On offer is only HJ but the girls can be persuaded to an outcall.

All the monies to be paid at the counter at the end. No separate tips etc. Its an all included / all know place.

I paid 200K for massage, HJ and lots of topless fondling.

She was quite a spinner.

Did not do outcall as had to leave town.

I think that most of the concerns that one might have inadvertently taken a LB are misplaced at least in Laos. I knew a guy in Vientiane who was into LBs and did not hide it. He said that of all the LBs who were available in the bars in Vientiane and there were many, only 3 of them had the full operation. And besides the vast majority of Lao LBs are clearly men, unlike in Thailand where a novice could be fooled.

Probably one of the towns I will visit again in Asia will be Pakse. People seem to be very nice but I did not come across any working ladies. Maybe because it seems to be a small city and their will be gossip if you start fucking the nice loadies. Does anyone have a clue? Please share some experience. Thanks in advance. Kind greetings,

There are a few massage places just out of town in the nightclub district that you could try. They're mainly Viet girls but I'the be surprised if you couldn't get FS from at least one of them.

Look up Pakse in Google maps. Find Roads 13 & 38 heading roughly east out of town. Just east of Road 16 and the Daoraung (Daoheuang) Market are two unnamed streets running straight through between roads 13 & 38. There are a few massage places in this area.

The other alternative is to put yourself in the hands of a local tuk-tuk driver.

I have been to Pakse before and once I have been taken by a female friend in Pakse to a local discoteque with a live band (from Thailand). I was the only foreigner, the place was crowded but the music was rather loud so no chance to talk with the ladies. There were some pretty ladies walking around. I forget the name but is a famous discoteque. It was on the east side of the town just a few kilometers from the old centre. Maybe I will ask the locals when I am there.

I am working on a visit to Laos in January or February. 2014. Can I ask several questions?

1. Will the weather be a bit cooler, or not much different?

2. I see that many cheaper guesthouses and p4p rooms don't have a / see. Are there mosquito problems?

3. I am Chinese-American. I don't speak Lao, Thai or Vietnamese, but I manage some Mandarin, Cantonese, Fukienese and Chew Chou. How much trouble will I have trying to buy tickets at bus stations, dealing with mamasans and WGs? I don't speak Spanish or Portuguese but did okay in Central America and Brazil. I did good in Bangkok but the WGs there knew some English.

4. As an American, can I get a visa at the Lao Embassy in Singapore?

This query really should have been posted in General Info but to help a fellow traveler,

1. Depends on your definition of cool. Weather will be pleasant in the low lying areas in the southern half of the country (Vientiane and south) and a bit cooler in the mountainous regions in the top half of the country (Vang Vieng and north). A bit like similar latitudes in the US really.

2. Shouldn't be much problem with mosquito's at that time of the year and you won't need a / see because the nights are generally cooler. So relax, even the cheapest guesthouses have nets and fans.

3. I don't speak Laos either but I never seem to have problem getting what I want with hand signal's, calculators and smiles. Plus you'll always find someone who would welcome the opportunity to practice their English in the main towns and tourist areas. All kids learn some English at school but the boys tend to drop it pretty quickly so if you're stuck just look around for a young woman up to about 30.

4. All Lao Embassies do visa's or you can get one at some of the land border crossings. I'm not American but they seem happy to let me in. I'm pretty sure they've almost forgiven you guys for the war by now so, you should be fine.

If you're in town and you've got a bit of spare time, don't waste it searching out possible spinners in the massage places around town. They all over-charge and under-deliver.

Tuk tuks are hard to find in town, particularly after dark, but you can easily get to the chicken farms just outside town. Besides, the walk will do you good.

Everybody knows where the old airstrip is so head out onto the main road running beside it. With the airstrip on your left hand side and heading north towards Luang Prabang you will come to a small street on the left at the end of the runway. Continue another 50 yards past there and turn down the first street on the right. Follow it for about 400 yards until it forks. Take the right hand fork. There are a number of chicken farms just down the road on the right. They are lit up at night so you can't miss them.

Just remember you're in an area full of foreigners and you never know who'll be watching. Don't forget you're still covered by your home country's laws. There might be a few tiddlers around so be prepared to throw them back.

Thought I'd add something useful to the forum.

I just came back from a 4 day stay in Laos, Luang Prabang.

Because I speak Thai and spent some time learning a little bit of Laos, I was able to find this brothel complex.

By complex I mean a dirt road and several one story rutted shacks.

The cost is comparitively high and seems to be frequented by only Laotians.

So, how to get there? Here's the directions which I confirmed on a bike after first being brought there by a tuk tuk (I only know them in relation to the Ancient Luang Prabang hotel I stayed at).

Go West on Soi Sivasavangvong app 3 intersections till you pass Phosy (seriously) market. Take a left at the first intersection past that market. You will see Ban Hao nightclub and a karaoke (can't remember name) on your right. Directly after that you will see an unmarked dirt road which leads you to the grotty fuck fest.

The downside? The rooms are on par with Cambodia. Big enough for a mattress and walls thin as cardboard. Cost is expensive. I first got quoted 250, 000kip down to 200, 000 for the girl. I negotiated extra for a token GFE. The second time I went I was offered a hotel room and girl for all in at 370, 000kip. I stupidly declined the offer to fit 3 on a motorcycle and instead followed them on my bicycle.

The upside? Very hot young girls. I had one of the hottest women I've had either in Thailand or anywhere on my second try there. Neither girl was a starfish but more like a PSE than GFE experience, along the lines of 'get off quick' and a jackhammer on top fuck experience. I turned that around to multiple positions with the girl at least pretending to have fun along the way. The second was a solid nine in looks but definitely a product of her environment, not used to anything like slow and easy. The hotel was not bad actually fairly clean with A / C and a TV. Not someplace I'd stay usually but above a US roach motel.

Nobody there spoke any English. Be forewarned. Have them write out the expected costs or use the ubiquitous calculator to communicate.

I was in Luang Prabang late last year and struggled to find anywhere to keep myself entertained. I did manage to pick up a couple of willing partners from the Dao Fah night club but man, it was a slow process. You need to get there early to scout out potentials as they arrive, carefully avoid boyfriends who might turn up later, do some dancing, buy some drinks and the when the night club closed around 1am I found myself having to head to the local bowling alley to shell out for even more fun before finally heading back to the hotel around 3am for some entertainment of my own. The end result was OK but unfortunately the alternatives were worse, far worse.

I'll be in Luang Prabang in a month or so and given the dearth of places to satisfy the itch in this lovely little town, I'm keen to check out your discovery. With the very basic conditions and mainly Lao custom it would seem that you've hit on one of the locals own 'chicken ranches'. Yes the cost does seem comparatively high but I suspect it's a combination of an added 'barang margin' and a distinct lack of competition. The locals are probably paying a couple of bucks a pop. However, if there is one 'chicken ranch' in town then there should be a couple more so, that'll be high on my list when I get there.

In the meantime, having a look on Mr Googles maps it shows the Phosi market on the corner of Phothisalath Road (it's Soi Sisavangvong further back towards town) and a fairly large paved road. Is that the one I should turn down or do I take the next turn, which is a minor road, on the left?

Given the fairly basic conditions and the offer of a local hotel was there any mention of a take-out back to your own hotel? If so did they quote you a price? I'm assuming both the 200k and 370k kip were both ST. Any mention of LT?

Spent a few nights in Luang Namtha. The number of karaoke pick ups has increased a lot. There are spread out so need to charter a jumbo for a night.

The business overall was very good, lots of Chinese and local groups come in small groups and many foreigners come in Range Rover or Land Cruiser.

All shops have small number of girls, about 4-10, so if some group come they may take all the girls away for all niter. One night saw one Chinese group of 5 took out all 8 girls from the shop, packed them into a mini van.

The price also has risen 2 folds. The girl level down, because many have gone to work in Vientiane. I took 3 LT from 3 different shops, price very hard to bargain down, because of big number of Chinese, rich locals, and many NGO looking cars as well. I paid between 65-85USD LT.

Disappointed because could not get any good service in Laos any more. The good old gf fun now only in memory.

Just noticed dicussion regarding taking girls back from shacks. As per my report in Feb 2013, I did negotiate a young girl for around 200k kip for an hour. I'm pretty sure the guest house was called Rattanakone. Small family run. Was on Agoda but not sure if its there now.
