Thara Patong Beach Resort
Late last year I stayed at the Thara Patong Beach Resort, and it was ok. This was my first time to Thailand, and I had just stayed at a 4 star hotel in Bangkok, so it was kind of a culture shock in itself to be in Phuket. I would have tried to stay in a different hotel if my group was ok with it. The rooms are ok, and the common pool area is pretty good. But with the occupancy rate being way down, it was a little strange and quiet. I assumed that there were just less tourists there since it was less than a year since the tsunami hit.
The good thing though, is it was close to all the action, and you could walk to where all the bars, massage places and restaurants. I caught a cold there, and conveniently there were two pharmacies nearby also.
I would like to know which hotels are newer/nicer than this one, even if the rates are higher.
ALL Europeans ARE rude arrogant fuckers. Especially the fucking British.
I've yet to meet an arrogant European. Well, I guess I have met one, but she can be excused because she is an exception to every possible exception, an exception's exception.
I've experienced a number of Brits that fit the description of an Arrogant Fucker, but I've never seen a Brit that could be described as European. I mean how could they be European if they aren't living on the continent?
I can attest to the arrogance of the Americans because I lived on the border of America in a small country called Oklahoma. Before Oklahoma became a country it was a prototype of the modern "concentration camp." An entire race of people known as the American Indian were herded there from every corner of America.
It is believed to be the largest human "cattle drive" of modern time and possibly of all time. Approximately fifty percent of the Indian race expired during the journey because of the harsh winter elements or of malnutrition. The great round-up later became known as "The Trail of Tears." I'm pretty sure that the German's got the idea for the concentration camp while reading Oklahoma History. The history of the Trail of Tears became the perfect blueprint for the construction of Oshwitz.
I still can't figure out why America has been allowed to live as long as it has so far. I reckon it's hard for the rest of the world to think of us as arrogant. Rather, we're most likely viewed as a large preadulescent nearing puberty. We Americans should thank our lucky stars that most of the world doesn't go around killing babies.
I also haven't met any rude French yet and have no comment on the Spanish except to say that I'd like to attend a bullfight someday, but are these two countries of European origin. If you were to ask me I would say that Europa doesn't begin until you have seen Praha or Budapest or Cracow. These are the cities that gave birth to the soul of Europa and it was in their respective countries where the infant Europa was born.
Everything west of Vienna is nothing more than a cancerous tumor that infested what was meant to be Europa once she reached adulthood, but because of the tumor what was meant to be a twenty-something-year-old Europa became the first prototype of modern day America.
I sometimes wonder how a country bumpkin from Oklahoma came to know all of these truths, but I still haven't found the answer. I just know what I know and I'm fairly certain what I know is not at all far from the truth.
