I'm heading to Vietnam this summer and currently doing my homework. After reading ALOT of pages, I've concluded that what I want is to be found in the Korean quarter. The thing is, I'm Vietnamese, albeit I look SEA-generic. People in Thailand, Philipines, Hong Kong and Malaysia have all mistaken me for a native. I have read that Korean quarter is off limit to Vietnamese, but is it just local Vietnamese or does it also apply to Viet Kieu. How do they check?

I'm also looking for more upscale FS / BJ places. I'm willing to pay extra for better surroundings and look. I don't have much free time and need therefore some advice about places with almost 100% chance of finding good looking young ladies and smooth setup. When you get to Ba Vi street, there should be a Massage place with a hair salon next to it both with big gates. FS is at the hair salon, the massage is a legitimate joint without FS.

Place is really nice with really hot girls in green dresses. Rooms are nice and spacious enough. I think its about as upscale as you can get in saigon.

You shouldn't have a problem getting in. For assurance just speak English. When you walk in, they will ask you "massage?" to which you nod and a girl will bring you up. Nothing to be nervous about. The quote above does not have that much to do with the following I am about to write but it is somewhat related to this. I am really down on my luck and unhappy at the moment personally. I am totally new to the mongering scene and speak barely any Vietnamese. (only about 50 simple words) I am willing to learn Vietnamese, but it is not going to get a lot better any time soon as I do not have much free time. (allthough I am considering becomming a permanent resident of HCMC) I am stuck living with a friend's (female) family so I barely have any privacy and my time is being tightly controlled, I can therefore only attempt to monger during the daytime. I have read several threads to try and learn some mongering jargon and basic information.

Today I tried to 'scout' what is know as the Korean District near the airport. Funnily instead of going to Ba Vi and the right streets for what I was looking for (FS) I took a right turn at Phan Thuc Duyen into Thang Long street, there was nothing there except 1 odd looking place with totally pitchblack windows, I had no idea what this was because the discription was in Korean (familair to anybody?). I then took a right heading into Hau Giang street, I saw 2 Hot Tocs with semi frosted windows and 1 Nha Hang (restaurant) in the middle of the Hot Toc's with Korean words all over their sign with taped off black windows. (Does anybody know if these places are legit or offer something?) After turning right into Tran Quoc Hoan street I saw some place in Korean that seemed to offer a foot massage and had the word "Business" on the sign, the doors are totally frosted except 2 small squares on each door. (Again, does anybody know this place?) Also noticed that the small shopping mall with the Superbowl bowling centre has 2 massage places, on the ground floor there is a foot massage place. I noticed some pretty slutty dressed girls coming from there so I wonder if this place offers more and also on the second floor of this 'shopping mall' there is another massage place, from outside of the mall and inside all the windows are frosted / taped, again wondering if? I hope this info is actually usefull to anybody but I thought I would share anything that might contribute as others have done the same for fellow mongers.
