Hi!
I'm new to the game and I'm trying to start my Facebook contacts in Medellin. I'm thinking on going like in a month. Any girls that I can start with any suggestions where to get the girls on Facebook. PM if you do not want to disclose publicly.
Why fuck with the girls on facebook when you can go directly to them on Colombian Cupido for example? I am guessing you are only going to be in Medellin for a a short amount of time so why even waste your time with facebook or any other websites? Just stay at the gringo lodging or go to the casas. You will have all the girls you can handle.
This past trip over the holiday and into part of the week I stayed over at M1 and am sure glad I did. I RTFF and even then I still felt overwhelmed and under prepared for my 1st trip to Medellin. Luckily most of the guys I met there were experienced travelers and mongers and friendly as well! Hell, as soon as I got in I went next to the pool to RTFF some more and was immediately offered a shot of tequila! The hotel was awesome for me because for the past 13 years I've always been solo on my mongering escapades. Being able to swap stories, get info on new places, and hear (and not read) trip reports from fellow like minded people really is what made the mansion for me. Needless to say the accessibility of the women was definitely the main reason I booked there, but the social aspect was a great plus.
I initially booked my room for Sunday to Wednesday thinking that I'd stay somewhere else for my last night of the trip, but after having tone of fun at night there is decided to extend one more night at M1 (luckily they had 1 opening). Needless to say, but the staff was great. They dealt with my constant check ups on my booking as well as my constant need from beer from their mini fridge.
One downside was that I was expecting a party the night I got in but I either must have missed it by a day or 2 or they just didn't have one.
As any recommendation, YMMV. But I would easily recommend staying at the mansion, hang out near the pool of M1 during the day, and head down to the cave at night for anyone that is thinking about making their first trip to Medellin.
As a side note, thanks to all the guys there during my stay that made my down time (damn rain!) and the relaxation time between sessions more enjoyable!

Hotel M is another venue that can be very effective for a newbie, as FB prospects can take some time to mine.
The Mansion is just a freaking blast. It's fun for me to hear stories like Lada's. I am a loner too and it is a nice change when I visit the mansion w / all the like minded mongers to joke around w.
I'm headed for San Salvador soon where the pussy is also pretty fine but no mansion for added support. It will force me to work on my Spanish all the more. I'll probably call Alexa soon and see what the availability is in December.
Thanks for the report. This is what I found on my first trip to the mansion in 2010.
It's just a downstairs bar where the girls hang out. You can order drinks just like at a regular bar. You meet the girls in the bar area, get to know them a bit, then invite them upstairs for some fun. The bar is connected to an open-air terrace as well, so the girls can step outside the bar area to smoke in the little side-terrace area. After around 6 or 7 pm, the music comes on and you can dance with the girls if you want. The downstairs bar doesn't even open up until around 6 pm at the earliest.
Oh, and there are no "activities" that occur in the bar, except perhaps chatting, drinking, smoking, and dancing. That's it.
Do you have to stay at the Mansion to go to the Cave?
Do you have to stay at the Mansion to go to the Cave?
Yes. I was told so when I last stayed at the mansion last year.
Is the mansion still open?
Yes. I was told so when I last stayed at the mansion last year.

Is the mansion still open?
Yes, the Mansion is still open and doing fine. I was just there a week ago and had a fantastic time. You do have to stay in the Mansion to go in the bar downstairs. In fact when I booked another trip, M1 is almost sold out except a few weeks the rest of the year.
My head is spinning! I booked all my hotels before I read this, I'm 3 nights bog. 5 barq. 5 med. Never been before to Colombia still learning Spanish. This forum is great source of info. The man sounds a great place to stay for a newbie. I'm looking to get girls on FB not sure how to start. I'm on CC but don't no if they are just looking for passport. Think I might change my hotel I'm staying at Charlee and been told it's not GF. Any advice would be great.
Thanks.
Hi all,
I've RTFF and unfortunately Mansion is full booked up for every single day that I am in Medellin!
Would love to check the place out, is it still possible to pay a cover charge to visit the bar / cave area (there's mixed reports on this). I have my own apartment in Poblado, so just looking at making as many connections as I can!
Cheers,
GS

Thanks.
The Charlee is chica friendly if you are bringing up one girl a day. Just register for two people. If however you are bringing up 3-4 chicas per day then it is definitely not!
If you want to stay at the mansion just keep emailing every week. Yes they are almost completely booked the rest of the year but dudes are always canceling and changing dates.
CC for me hasn't been as successful as seekingarrangement. Almost all those girls are looking for money (sure maybe a passport as well but always $$).

GS
My guess is 97% is if you are trying to get into the bar you will be denied. You have never stayed there so they don't know you, so I would be very surprised if they let you in.
Several years ago I was in an apartment and tried to enter and was refused (and I had stayed at the mansion probably 15+ times the 4 years previous) so as a newbie, you are probably not getting in.
But give it a try, worst that could happen is they tell you no.

GS
You may be able to pay a charge to get into la Cueva. Honestly I wouldn't recommend it. Changes are decent that you'll walk in and there will be no or few girls there, and you'll be like "what now?" The place fluctuates greatly and with no rhyme or reason. The advantage to staying there is you can pop in at any time and see what's happening. If you take a look and there's no one there, you can take a look again a couple hours later and it might be completely different.
As the other poster suggested, you should call them back a couple times to see if anything opens up, even for just a day or two. That way, you will at least get to try it out.
Did you ask them about both houses -- M1 and M2 (el Castillo)? While M1 is generally better for a first-time visitor, M2 would still give you an "in. " My first visit many moons ago, I was at M2 and I still had a great time. Less convenient for checking out la Cueva (which wasn't there at that time), but still gives you access as well as camaraderie with fellow hobbyists.
