I was in Riga just recently now this June. And unfortunately I have to agree with many of the other posters here, that it has really become a lot worse. Both when it comes to meeting working girls, but also meeting local girls on the clubs, either as just chatting with them or offering them something.

I have been in Riga about 1 time per year the last 5 years, and when I first came, it was still somewhat good, even if cities like Warsaw and Budapest are way much better in my opinion for meeting girls.

The city has turned into such a family city really. On the positive side. Many of the shady stripclubs that used to exist (anyone remember places like Mary and Flames?) are long gone, and replaced by bookstores or cafés.

But the problem is, the whole city changed. Where you could see many nightclubs in Old Town before, and young girls running out of them, are now replaced by large groups of japanese older tourists, for example.

And this is little, as I have paid some 400-500EUR for same quality (and poorer service) in mainstream restaurant of Venice. So for eating and drinking you will find whole range of offers for very cheap price and at very good Quality. Always in English.

If you are after Drugs. Forget about it. Police has done everything to fight against drugs, even more then against prostitution. So for drugs you must go to Ibiza or London, not here.

2. Finding an Escort.
