I was wondering how to make a reservation. I cannot read the site (I only know very little Japanese, only basic kanji) or is a walk-in fine?
I am 18 and Japanese so is there a possibility that I may be turned down for looking too young?
Also. Any chance someone might describe the process from arrival to departure?

Just off the top, since your Japanese is probably not great, but you look Japanese, you're probably better off showing up and trying to convince them that you are Japanese in person.
I don't think anyone will give a shit how old you look.
If you go to Tobita and look like a young Japanese guy, you can fuck any girl there. I don't think they will care if you Japanese isn't perfect.

I'm writing up a guide for newcomers, but I don't think I'll have it finished in time for New Year's, sorry.
If you look Japanese, this will get your foot in the door at almost any place. The problem is once you open your mouth. If you don't understand Japanese and then the touts realize you aren't Japanese (well, by their standards), they may turn you away. Learn the basics and don't say more than you absolutely have to. Once you meet with the girl, she will probably figure you out but it'll be up to her to continue or not.
Your age - I don't know what the law is, you might be considered too young. If you are asked, just say you are 20. Don't dress too young and try not to look like a tourist either, and you should be OK.
Tobita is a good resource, interaction with the mamasan is minimal. She'll invite you in as you walk by, and if you go in then she will direct you upstairs and ask what you would like to drink. You only have to answer tea, soda, whatever.
The only problem is that Tobita, much like other places I imagine, is going to be PACKED during New Year's vacation. Try to go early.

Whether you succeed or fail is determined mostly by your attitude, your persistence, your preparation, and your creativity, not by your language ability. My advice is to stop asking "can I?" and start asking (yourself) "how do I?"
I could not agree more with this. Actually, I could not say it better, either. Persistence is going to be the deal maker, though. All of the preparation and creativity in the world is not going to get you anywhere if you're not prepared for failure, especially if you set your sights high. My best advice to you is that when you are refused, thank them for their time, excuse yourself and apologize for bothering them.

2~3 Happening bars in Osaka were raided last Saturday night. The police made 20 arrests, including 8 staff members and 12 patrons. They were arrested on charges of "Public Indecency", based on the magic mirrors that allow patrons in the regular bar area to see inside of some of the play areas. Its complete and total BS, considering you have to be a paying member just to get inside. The police are manipulating the charges, and many in the Osaka underground community feel that they had an informant or someone tipping them off.
My favorite place was among those raided, and I had been lightly considering the possibility of going the night of the raid. I'm sure I don't have to tell you about the consequences of being arrested as a foreigner in Japan.
Most hapbar goers in Osaka are fairly freaked out, and will probably lay low for a little while until things blow over. I don't know how many of you guys went to happening bar, but whether its happening bar or P4P, be careful. The police usually turn a blind eye, but raids do happen and the last thing you want is to be at a place when one happens.
It had been a few years, and I finally got to take a trip out to Kobe and visited the soapland district in hopes of getting some mat action. Tried a few years ago and was denied everywhere, but was hoping the slow economy had opened things up a bit.
However before I got to the soap a tout waved me over and promised a good time with a young slender J-gal for a fair price, so I changed plans.

I went there after 5pm and so I took the 70min option for 20, 000 Yen. I asked the staff about the other prices but the only difference is the time you spent. I didn't ask to choose the lady (big mistake!) but they said, in japanglish, that I couldn't change (which I understood at the time as that I can't have two ladies, one after the other, but I'm not sure anymore).
I just waited a few minutes with a glass of ice tea before going to a room with a huge bathroom and being introduced to my « companion ». Her name is Ran, and if for the website she's a glamour one, I still have a hard time to understand where her glamour is. For me, she's just an average 30+years old lady without anything special. She was at least friendly and we talked a bit before starting
I have to say that it was my first time in a true Japanese sopaland. In Tokyo, I went a few times at the now defunct Trinity (Otsuka) who was some kind of a Korean soapland (pretty good for the price). Soapland is, I think, a must-do in Japan even if it's a bit expensive. Being entirely washed by a pretty lady, take a bath with her and then play with her on a air mattress must be a really nice experience.
