Do booking for twin occupancy. You can check in first and let the girl know the room number. She can come in later and check in. But first name she will need to know as hotel front office could end up sking. So if you have common first name, it helps as she can first person RAjesh has checked into room number xxx. Else come down and help her check in.
Best figure out a hotel which has access to lift to go to a restaurant in one of the higher floors. Meet her there and take her to room from there. This is what I do now a days.

Showing ID for both person is mandatory because at the time of check in the reception will write the name of 2 persons in whose name booking is done. And those two persons has to show the ID till that time they won't allow. Nowadays all hotels have CCTV so they keep a close tab on what's going on inside. In Brevistay you can't skip showing ID. All these going to restaurant and from there to room doesn't work nowadays. The hotel has staff to catch you doing all this illegal stuff and kick you out.
