Guys,

After spending time in Pattaya, Siem Reap, Hanoi, heading to AC day after tomorrow. Will be staying at Royal Amsterdam. Any short list of bars / places to try and taste AC please.

I agree that you need to experience both places, but there are some other spots worth checking out too. Jakarta is a totally different place too, and a lot of fun.

Living in Thailand, I make it to PI fairly often, and the differences are significant, but it all depends on how you approach each place. Pattaya bar girls are about the bottom of the scale for Thailand, but if you like the down and dirty type, the selection is almost limitless.

The Pattaya versus AC debate has been going on forever, and always will. Love to read it though.

One striking difference that I have noticed is how filipinas will latch on to your ass and will murder you if you BF another girl in the same bar. I don't notice Thai girls genuinely doing this. They will front like they lost some face, however it is just a show. Girls from PI will fall in love with you if you are a little too passionate in bed. Filipinas will sing love songs to your ass and stroke your hair, Thais will grab that cell phone and on to the next ST. Just a general observation.

I was coming off a bad breakup where I was with my GF for almost 3 years and discovered PI on accident and hadn't been laid in 3 months. I need some affection too. I found a stunner and banged her like a girlfriend instead of a screw. I nearly made love to that ass. The next morning this girl started making all kinds of plans for us together. My bad. Continue if necessary to Ponytails (they seem to have some real cute "shot girls") , by then things are open on Fields. My personal favs are Champange (for the GR girls) , Tropix, and Blue Nile Exec (2nd floor bar). By this time, I am usually done for the night, in more than one way! I like the Royal Amsterdam hotel, good locale and the rooms are okay as well. Have a grand ole time!

If you are visiting mainly for the girls with a bit of tourism on the side, I would pick PI.

If you want great food, good sightseeing activities with a bit of girl on the side, I would pick Thailand.

Not to mention, the non-pros aren't as heavily tattooed as the pros and they tend to be more petite. So I concur about Pattaya bargirls being on the bottom of the barrel of Thai society.

The guys with no other place to go are among the visitors / residents and the Thais who feed off them are the worst of the natives, in my view.

I used to ride the BTS to meet up with buddies at Nana or Cowboy and I would tell my friends that I would leave the bars when I had seen more cute girls than in my car on the Skytrain. The girls outside of the bars are undoubtedly better looking in my taste, but the bars are "point and click"

These girls are used to all night dancing, drinking and a festive atmosphere. They would not banging and sleeping all afternoon and night.

Many of the girls have problem sleeping before 2-3 am because their internal clock is set like that. That is why you see them watching TV all night.

But ofcourse if the girl turns out to be good company dinner, barhopping and maybe disco is on the menu.

Walking outside on any given day carries some risk the question is how much risk is really involved? Since I'm not a long time member of AC I don't really have a great picture and just looking for opinions on the matter, thanks for yours.

I do not intend to drive drunk but it may occur after spending several months or years here. Also don't knock $8 dollars a day that's $240 a month and that's the roughly the same amount I started saving 25 years ago to live in AC! LOL Also $240 a month is roughly 5 ladies for the night.

Susu[/QUOTE]It is very difficult to tell with filipinas where the show ends and the real feelings begin. So much about the Philippines is pure bulls*t; it is in the national culture. I think it is mostly show but hey, they often cannot tell themselves!

My own experiences are quite different. The daytime gals have a reason for an early departure and most guys can accept that. Sammon may have found someone special (desperate?) , but a lot of the day gals need to be home to family, or need to take care of kids, or have to take a call from Sugar Daddy.
