I was planned to do Rio in July but my Corp made adjustment to my vacation schedule because they decided to send me to London in early July before the Olympic wingding. However, I was fortunate enough to get a two weeks' vacation by next week. I changed my travel dates with TAM and they hit me with a whopping $350 fare difference, and charged me a total of $1385 for rt. Trip (nonstop) from US. I rented my last apartment in Rio thru an old contact. The Copacabana hotel, located next to Rio Sul mall, is offering a great deal of $17 / night. On the other hand, Hotel Vina Del Mar, located between Flamengo and Centro, and reasonably priced at $67 / night. Did anyone had any experience with this hotel?

I formed a budget strategy for future vacations, particularly Rio. I have prepared a anticipated expense report based on (1$US = R$1. 9) , for a 10 days trip to Rio. However, from my own personal experiences I have determined that the more English a gdp knows, the more likely she is to be jaded. After all, most of them have learned English from being with so many gringos. Of course there are some exceptions. I'm going by the numbers and / or percentages from my own experiences. Its best for me to avoid them. This has worked excellent for me. I also have other factors which I view as a red flag. This criteria has also worked in many other countries I have visited. To each his own. There is not one method or style that is universal when it comes to this game. Again, this is just a way of thingking that has worked for me.

The majority of English brazilian speaking women I have choosen to spend time with have been non-gdps. I have dated a hand full of them, but they learned English because they attended private schools growing up. But as for non-pros, thats a whole different ball game. I can defend myself speaking basic portuguese, so as I mentioned earlier. I prefer to deal with gdp's who speak little or no English whatsoever, regardless of the country I visit. I am not losing out on anything because luckily there is so much T & A in Brazil. Its all good! There is plenty to go around.

Learning English is a sign of upward mobility. Two observations from this proposition:

1. The most upwardly mobile brasileiras may also express the upward aspiration by giving the gringo the best sexo in order to get you as a husband. I had this twice in the past. 2. As a gringo, besides the obvious (cash) , you do have something to offer, learning some English. How many English teaching signs do you see within 500 meters of Monte Carlo? Put some english language content on your iTunes on your laptop and offer some free lessons between fucking in the sex motel. After 5 minutes, she may lose interest and click on Rihanna, but I've had some fun times listening to English language with a naked, top GDP in my apartment for hours on some of those diarias.

That bunda, by the way, was asking 450R for 2H, and 950R pernoite, last time I was in RJ, and I declined. She's one of two cariocas, I'll not forget.

Many brazilians have studied some English in school. Often just for a very short period. The teaching isn't very good, they don't practise and end up with almost no real knowledge of speaking English. The average brazilian don't really have the need for speaking English. More educated brazilians often speak English.

If you meet regular girls with some higher level of education there are good chances of her speaking English. English learnt at university or some language school like Fisk etc.
If your social contacts are limited to Balcony and termas you'll also meet a few girls that have some very basic English. English learnt in between sucking gringo d*cks.
If you meet piranhas that speaks English there should be some warning bell ringing. They propably have gringo-experiences. Experiences with gringos that don't speak Portuguese. Most likely with newbies who might have spoilt them.

Personally I don't care so much if the brazilian girls I meet speak English or not. We usually end up speaking Portuguese anyway. English isn't my native language and my Portuguese is most likely better than her English.

For the gringo who just goes for a two week mongering-trip to Rio it shouldn't be a problem if the girls doesn't speak English. If he intends to stay for a longer period or to come back repeatedly it should be in his interest to learn Portuguese. That will also open much wider possibilities to get laid with pro's or regular girls.

I'm seriously thinking about giving Hotel Vina Del Mar a try, if my contacts couldn't find anything affordable. The website cost is offering $67 per night on distinct websites, with free wireless internet, AC, mini safe, and cable tv. One of the foremost advantage is that its located close by Scort Show agency. Also, it's an ultimate spot for someone who wants to stick to Centro casas, termas, etc. Every contact in Rio is coating me R$140+ for studio, and R$200+ for 1br for a temporada stay. However, deals for R$1600- R$2000 / month contract for a studio in Copa are also offered, but it possibly excludes utilities. Hotel Vina Del Mar Anyone?

Just because anyone has money doesn't signify that he or she has to blow it all away at once. I spend x amount of money for pleasure, and invest the rest. It's not about being a millionaire net worth concern, I just see no point in blowing over max $400- $500 / night anyplace in the world. I got a final project to finish before Tuesday, and I just can't linger to slap those legendary asses and gratify my 'Carioca Bunda' cravings.
