Yes, but liberals are their own worst enemies
The latest January 6 Violent Trump Insurrection Investigation was funny and sad. Mostly sad.
Whether it was Trump's somewhat "normal" aids he hand-picked to help him overturn a free and fair election and overthrow American Democracy so he could illegally continue to produce the worst across-the-board results of any so-called potus in history who he had to fire and replace with obvious loony and falling down drunk ones or their replacements, they all seem to agree Trump had to be dealt with like the fucking moron with the mental capacity of a 5 year old he clearly is.
Yet, being trusted classic Repubs all, indulge him and humor him they did. Naturally, all to the great detriment of America and the American people, including if not moreso to the even more fucking moronic mental midgets who ever for one second entertained the notion of supporting and voting for him or any other Repub.
And yet, he's still not charged with any wrongdoing. What else do they need, seriously?
Here is a typical liberal soul-searching article. Which in their holier-than-the-pope fashion are trying to figure out if charging Trump with a crime is worth it.
Imagine, as many detractors of Donald Trump do, that the former president ends up decked out in full orange, successfully prosecuted and dragged off to prison in an unprecedented incarceration more commonly associated with third world nations or undemocratic states.
Or consider the possibility that Trump is indeed indicted on charges stemming from the House Jan. 6 committee and Department of Justice but found not guilty, fueling partisan anger and conspiracy theories about a "deep state" out to get Trump.
Then it's all about "on the one hand" and "on the other hand" and more hesitation and more soul-searching.
Oh give me a break!
I don't give a shit about any theories and how anyone would feel. Did Trump commit a crime, yes or no?
If yes, he needs to be charged.
If no. Well, I can't imagine "no" after everything the Committee has uncovered. But what I think doesn't matter; he can have his day in court.
The article I quoted above does lean in this direction at the end, it's just there shouldn't be any soul-searching about it. Charge the bastard. What Repubs never do is soul-searching. They set a goal and go for it. Coldly, boldly, relentlessly. That's how they win.
