The thing with MP's is that there are too many factors and variety that goes into what's considered a typical MP, hence the different prices.

I've stated in a previous post on a couple of types of MP's that exist in Shanghai. Some may find the prices reasonable, some may find it cheap, or some may even consider it expensive. As I've said before it would be best if you could find yourself a native monger and have him point you to places and services you want. It basically comes down to how much you are willing to spend.

MP's are a dime a dozen. Odds of coming across an uni deal (is that a word?) massage is a given, especially if you are a frequent monger. If you want to be safe and know what you are getting, maybe you should pay a little more and hit up places like kangding. But even places like that, you aren't guaranteed leaving completely satisfied or fulfilled.

Every joint, whether its MP, BBS, sauna, KTV etc, will have masseuses that are not up to par. You may find a good one in a cheap MP or bad one in a expensive MP.
