I love Clark, partly just in comparison to the mess that is Manila Airport, partly because of flying in low right over Perimeter Road, a perfect start to a stay in AC.

I too often feel contempt for the Philippines and how fucked up their country is. But if it wasn't that way, there wouldn't be such a unique opportunity to monger there.
Aside from Thailand and Philippines, a vast majority of Asian mongering (especially the best types) are only open to locals or other Asians. As an Asian guy, I assure you I have access to mongering in Hong Kong, China and Macau that white guys can only dream of. If you're a white guy, I'm sure you wouldn't want such a similar arrangement for the Philippines.

Plane was four and half hours delayed and we are still waiting. Airport is closing and there is not a smoking area. I asked to go outside and was told "Sorry sir, Immigration has already left, so you cannot leave the airport!". I reminded the security guard that we are going to Cebu and not international and he could not understand that. He called his supervisor (Female. 5'0".250 lbs) over and she took me to her office and threaten to kick me off the plane. Long story short, they let me go out and smoke and when I came back in the security whisperer to me,"Sir you can keep your lighter". Hahaha.

I don't think any of you gentlemen have anything to worry about when it comes to the Koreans or any other ethnic group investing in the Philippines. There will always be a small rich class and and a majority poor class in this country and it has nothing to do with well off Asians. It has to do with corrupt Filipinos, more specifically corrupt Filipino government business and public officials. Prices on goods and services always fluctuate including our beloved pinays. The American dollar is losing its value constantly which affects the world economy (prices) and the same with many European currencies. China is even being affected by this world economic slow down. Point being I don't have a dooms day out look on the situation in the Philippines nor the United States. The Philippines will always have affordable goods for you happy mongers and their poor natives. And the United States will be well off again, because the world depends on it. Who else will buy an outrageous amount of Asian manufactured products?

I would agree that their are cultural norms or taboos in many societies about branching out when it comes to dating. But to think that Asian women don't find Brad Pitt or numerous other model type white guys attractive is being unrealistic. As far as Pinay's are concerned certainly I agree that poverty plays a huge role but not the only, could it be that some Pinoys are just not the greatest guys in the world? Their are lots of single mothers in the phils and those babies are not from mongers (not most).2nd point the Philippines unlike any other Asian countries are fascinated by American pop culture. From rap music, rock, tmz you name it. Their dyeing their hair blond and getting blue contacts, skin whitening you name it. Other Asians are getting plastic surgery to put folds in their eyes, boobs jobs etc. Women prefer men they feel secure with and in most cases can support them, that crosses all ethic and cultural lines.

I completely concur. This is a fact. None of you will live long enough to see the Philippines become an economically developed country. I highly doubt it would even reach Thailand's standard of the living in the next 20 years (the Philippines would need to triple its GDP for that).
Despite China growing 10% annually for the last decades (which is considered a neck-breaking pace) , a vast majority of its people are still marred in poverty.
Granted, mongering choices may start to narrow as the Philippines develops (assuming that it does). But there will still be plenty of desperate girls willing to fuck guys. Hell, Hong Kong is fabulously wealthy and it still has tons of mongering activities for Westerners.

Are you implying Asian girls who do these things prefer white guys? If white girls are working on their tans at the beach, does it mean they prefer black guys?
Besides, none of those characteristics you've mentioned (having blue contacts, boob jobs, etc) are exclusive to attracting white guys.

No one doubts financial security plays a big role in who a women chooses. But few would also doubt that, if wealth was equal, most women would prefer someone of their own ethnicity. The proof? 80% of Asians in America marry each other despite the dizzying racial choices they have in a spouse. Asians there are only 5% of the population, which means Asians will have so specifically seek each other out.
Here's the absolute truth. Asia as a whole is becoming increasingly Asian-centric, even nationalistic. Before the 1980s, it's quite common for GIs and corporate types to serve in Asia and return with an Asian bride.
How often does this happen these days? How many matchmaking services are organizing meet-and-greet tours to Tokyo, Seoul or Hong Kong? It's mostly just Philippines and, to a far lesser extent, Thailand and Vietnam. And in all these countries, I can argue that it's poverty that pushes women to seek non-Asian men.
Economically developed places like Hong Kong, South Korea and Singapore aren't exactly hotspots for white guys to hook up with a native. The last time I checked on DIA, there was an extremely small number of profiles from those places.
You're right in saying that Filipinos have an affinity for American culture because of its unique history. But go to other parts of Asia and, while they might be friendly to Americans, they would feel Asian culture is superior.
