Many thanks.[/QUOTE]Discarding the Ph sim will not deactivate your Viber account. The account is already set up and is using WiFi or data. Even if you use a new SIM card the existing Viber account will be working and showing your old cell number. Your old cell number is your Viber account number even if you are not using the sim.

Depending on your cell phone you may be able to turn off your Viber. Viber is actually an app on most cp and may be turned off on most cp.

I am not sure how you can maintain your contacts if you insert a new sim especially if you allow Viber to connect to your contacts.

I personally have a separate cell phone that I use for Philippines. I have not seen any deactivation of my Phil sim number after 3 months. You might do an online load send to your number every few months to make sure it stays active. It costs me $1. 30 to send a minimum load of 50.

Btw, the only way to use a new sim number for Viber is to delete the Viber app and then download the app again, then let it access your contacts.

The Phils providers have now changed the SIM lifetime to 12 months so your SIM should still work if it's within a 12-month window. Viber is an app so it will not "expire". Just take out your Phils SIM so it will not ring unexpectedly, and then reactivate it when you return next trip.

This is in line with most other international providers. My Aussie Vodafone number stays live for 12 months so I just reload it every time I return to Australia for a holiday which is at least once each year.

The load expires but the SIM and number will not.

However, I'm still a little confused. If I remove and store the Philippine SIM will a call still go through to the phone? I'm a little hazy on if my Viber account is linked to the app on the phone regardless of the installed SIM or if it needs the SIM to recognise which phone and account it is being called.

Yes, a second phone would have been a better option but once everything started working so well it was too late to turn back. Next time.

I don't know if it will come thru on your other sim card's data or not. Best if you can to turn off the Viber app.

I'll store the numbers elsewhere and temporarily uninstall the app.

If the phone ever rang at the wrong time, some of the profile pics could not be explained as the "dive shop cashier".

Next time it will be a stand alone phone, sim and email address.

Another trick for beginners like myself making use of Dating Apps and an argument for a totally seperate cell phone for travel.

If you search PLove, Cupid etc for special friends in a iPad or phone with your main Facebook account installed, it will recognise these people and present them as Friend Recommendations. I'm not sure but I assume it also does this on the other side and presents you to the girls, giving them access to your details, family info etc.

Definitely not good.

It has all my info and contacts that are irreplaceable. I use an older iphone for PH with normal and PH contacts in it. When I am getting too many texts from old flames then I will change my number with a new SIM card. At that time I will delete the Viber app and then download it again with the new number. For my PH Viber I will use a Nickname.

Once I am back home I will keep the cell phone turned off unless I need to contact someone. A few days prior to landing in PH I will load my cell from an online service and I will have cell service upon landing.

I keep it so separate so I don't even use the same devices when I use my fake FBs. That being said you can through security settings hide friends list and info to not show at all, to only your friends can see it. If you let the public see it, well, then you could have a problem.

A few weeks before my arrival I got a free account on SA and looked to see if the catalog was to my liking and it most definitely was. A week prior to arrival I forked over my $80 and started messaging.

The girls on SA seemed to range from similar 4-8's you find on PL to some real quality 9-10's "model" types. To summerize I found SA to have higher quality (looks and / or smarts) girls at higher prices vs PL. You get what you pay for usually and SA is the place to go (at least for me) to find the "more". I still plan to use PL, but SA makes for some very interesting new sources.

Some have used SA and now don't as they have the contacts but each to his own. If you are a guy who likes his 1000 pesos lady or who like to boast about saving 50 pesos on a taxi / trike then SA is definitely not for you. Some guys in the UAE spend ridiculous amounts of cash (IMHO) on the girl.

So far the Body Type generally is accurate though some girls list Curvy but really are slimmer than what I call that. Some say Curvy when they are definitely "of large size". YMMV.

Some SA girls aka sugar babes have very high expectations. One of my friends was quoted around US $1500 a month for an allowance on top of which was shopping trips. Another with loads of cash did organise a boat and champagne dinner to impress the girl and thus get her panties off. It worked but we worked out he had spent well in excess of US $5000 ++ but YMMV as we say.

I know some FHM and PI Playboy cuties / model and they can ask for PHP 15000 a pop easily as can get from rich pinoys and politicians (RK made some reference to this in an earlier post).
