But I wasn't aware of an expiration date on the Hessen mandate. If so, I'm less pessimistic about my assumption. For now though, I plan on being in Europe soon and will keep Frankfurt off my itinerary unless it changes in the next few weeks.

Something to be said about case numbers, specifically Germany's relatively low cases. In fact, oddly much lower than all of their bordering nations to the east, west, north, and south.

On further inspection against their neighbors, their positive result rate is second only to Switzerland, meaning they are less likely to perform screening tests and more likely to perform diagnostic testing. Therefore less asymptomatic positive cases being caught.

My optimistic conclusion:

Omicron is even more widespread in Germany than numbers suggests because asymptomatic cases are not being tested and recorded. With hospitalizations and deaths continuing to decline, Omicron is not having much of an effect on the German healthcare burden. This is actually really good news for Germany as they are likely pretty deep into the Omicron surge and that much closer to the end of the surge.

No test for me since 9 December at Sharks, booster was enough just to buy my freedom, before buying points for my driving license. But many positive will always make deaths and I'm fully sure Germans think 239 on a day are way too much, some landers closing risky places like brothels, or no vaccine = not entering shops. I don't remember hearing same about flu.

When architects make plans, I most often need to correct, improve for technique and cost, to make their paper becoming real, having life rather than just paper, giving stars in eyes to people who project their future life in the place. When I see no brained sporty in US universities, when I remember brain performances tests for how fast you can find a solution in Math sup / Math spe in famous Saint Louis school when I was only 18, for sure I preferred to go to see Depeche mode in concert or run to ski and as soon I made enough money working on most of my Summer holidays, to buy a really sporty car reaching 220 on late 80's when I was just a bit more than 20 and already loving and pushing speed. 4 years later, fell in love for legendary RS500, even crashed, but I knew she was for me, rebuilt, improved and for nearly 25 years of my life. A real engineer able to build with his brain.

3700 known deaths yesterday in US under Omicron. About 470 for 2 last days in Germany. More than 300 daily in UK since beginning of year, 360 yesterday. 435000 new cases in France yesterday, our record ever since start, when France make more test than Germany or UK, I don't know why? Kind of panic when I don't. Omicron is spreading more and more, killing more and more according to figures even in vaccination high rate countries like UK or Germany or France. Not finished yet and quite logical after Christmas / new year party. Will be under control for me when less than 100 daily deaths for weeks in Germany or France. More complicated for UK and US are really down under once more, but just normal with their medical level. Internet was never truth, the field like the steep are the truth, then You know some less than 65 kgs bicycle racers go downhill at more than 100 km / h on 12/13 % steep, just for dynamics and knowledge about, like about probability = more cases, more deaths.

News of the week is the new BA 2 variant of omicron. Spread faster and is more dangerous than the original omicron. Especially among the over 60 demographic crowds who just randomly also happened to receive their 3rd or 4th shots in countries like Israel and Denmark.

As a communication guy I advice Escape Artist to get his 5th jab before the end of may!

I mean. The new omicron vaccine will be primarily suited towards the BA1 variant. Not the BA2 variant. So you will first need one for BA1. And then wait a bit longer for the additional BA2 booster!
