Hong Kong Club Reports

It's late into the morning and I get ahold of this wonderful ballerina. She was one of the better dancers all night, lots of tips for talents. We're in Miami all by ourselves and I ask her to dance for me on the pole and I'll tip her of course. I did buy her a drink and we're just having a good time. After a while some idiot mesero steps in and tells us I need to buy a lap dance or get lost. So that ends my night as I just go home. It makes no sense, the place was empty and I had about $100 left that I would have spent. Why kill the action for the girl when I was spending money on her and buying drinks all night. It was 4-5 am on a Thursday and Miami was empty, it's not like we were getting in anyone's way. Why send somebody home with money still in his pockets, bunch of morons.

That is too bad, sounds like you were having fun, but at 4 am the mesero saw more time on the girl than dollars in his pocket. Logic says leave you be but meseros work in the quick and now motto, and logic requires thinking and there is not a lot of that in HK. There have been times with a regular where we split and sneak to a third level booth just to get a few minutes without a mesero staring you down. Its a tough bar for time alone with your sweetie. Sometimes I have given them a couple of bucks to leave us for a little while and other times she has said something impolite in Spanish that makes them leave us alone. There are a couple of good meseros (unfortunately not always there) that I spot and tell them to look after me and these guys know when to take a hike.

Not over the chicas, not over the customers, not over anybody. You can simply ignore the meseros or tell them to "vete a la verga" (leave and go to the dick) and there is nothing they can do. I've done this several times. They have no authority themselves but some will call over a manager or security who then will come over and ask the monger a question or two and just let everything be.

I was in Friday (last) night and had a pretty good time. Had a room in Cascadas, with the VIP discount. Was not super cheap, but still reasonable. Gave me a place to arriba to and also get away from the smoke and music if I wanted.

If you are the timid and obedient type, then by all means give into the meseros and let them scam you however much they wish. You'll lose their respect and you'll constantly be targeted for more scams. If you are the strong-willed and assertive type that will stand up for yourself, then you have every right to verbally display your displeasure when being targeted for a blatant ripoff. You might be seen as rude but you'll be respected. I've been going to HK for more than 10 years and I haven't once seen a mesero working the door, much less deny entry to any mongers. You can be rude to the meseros without any repercussions. Just don't be rude to the security guys. The security guys know the meseros are always pulling scams so they almost never take any action against an angry monger. I once almost got into an altercation with that little midget troll-looking mesero, I think he's #54 but I'm not sure. I got right in his face and everything. So he ran and cried to the security guy. The security guy comes and asks me what the problem was and I told him the mesero tried to rip me off. Security says "ok" and leaves.

There's a clear line between sticking up for yourself and being abusive towards others. At least it's clear to most people.

Abusive confrontations make enemies, and that never helps.
