Gangles quotes the bf at My Girl as 3500 and appears to be under the impression that this is the bar’s cut, only. Is this true? For that price, I would have thought that it included the girl’s cut, as well. And does anyone have any info on the private/VIP rooms in the bars? Price and comfort? These might be a preferable option to bringing both my gf and bar girls back to my hotel!

Just arrived in CDO this aftenoon, weather is lousy with heavy rain. I have booked into the Marco hotel in Cugman because of the facilities (I like swimming and the use of a gym) but feel it is like a ghost town here. I have a cottage which is a short two to three minute walk from reception but not much fun when it is pouring with rain. My diary is booked up with potential dates from DIA until I leave this Sunday but I am seriously thinking of checking out tomorrow and going to the Malbery Suites. It is a nice resort here but just that little bit far from the action.
It is my first time in CDO and I had an interesting arival at the airport. I went across the road from the terminal building to get a metered taxi, with lots of drivers hassling me. Got in a metered cab with unpleasant music and after about three requests he agreed to turn down the music. The driver ignored my requests to put on the meter and started driving off towards the airport exit. It was only when I yelled in his ear to put the meter on that he finally had the sense to listen. By that time I had enough and ordered him to stop. I paid him his 30 pesos and walked back to take another cab which was an altogether better experience. Have two girls coming up from Ozamis tonight and will let members know how I get on. They are expecting me to be with a friend who dropped out of the trip at the last minute and I didn't have the heart to tell them. Guess they will just have to share me with each other tonight!
Ended up in CDO downtown last night and met up with a fellow board member. Tried a few local bars and found everyone to be very friendly. Was wandering around at 2am and never once did I feel concerned about my safety. Everyone was very approachable and friendly and a complete contrast to walking aound Cebu City late at night. Lots of SW's around though the quality varied tremendously. I tried Spooks following the recommendations from other board members. It was a Wednesday night and we managed to get the last two seats available, so I would not like to try at weekends if that was a quiet night! Some of the girls in Spooks were reasonably attractive but none really did it for me so I had a couple of beers and left. Also the take out price of 3000 just seems really excessive for this part of the world and I would expect absolute stunners for this kind of money. Bar prices are quite reasonable considering you get a floor show included (60 pesos fo san miguel) and it is an interesting place to hang out for a while. No pressure to buy drinks (apart from weekends). Interestingly enough there is a large sign on the stage saying that on a Friday and Saturday night drinks must be consumed every 30 minutes. As I am not a heavy drinker I will give this place a wide berth at weekends.
As we came out of the club I met up with a guy from Holland. We got chatting and he is maried and lives in Davao. He was a friendly guy and I ended up riding pillion on his scooter as he showed me around. We arrived at a place called Pulse a local disco with an entrance fee of 75 pesos. The club was heaving even on a Wednesday night, with quite a few available girls who smiled and made eye contact. I was feeling quite tired so decided to go home empty handed but my Dutch friend insisted on taking me to another local bar with go go where he promised me the girls were great value (1500). We both got on the scooter and promptly fell over sideways, I guess my chauffeur had drank a little too much. Slightly embarassing as this happened right outside the front entrance to Pulse but also quite funny. We made it in one piece to the local's go go and it was a 120 pesos cover charge which included three beers so not a bad price. I could only manage one more drink so left my Dutch friend to enjoy the rest of the morning hours alone, whilst I headed to bed. I have decided to remain at the Marco as the taxi fare is only 70 pesos into town and it is nice to be away in a oasis of calm and peace. I like the hotel here since they have bungalows set out in a resort style. It means you can get a cab to your front door without the walk of shame!! I have a huge room with a veranda, fantastic air con which borders on being cryogenic and a huge king size bed and seperate single bed all for 1600. Will let members know how I fare tonight.........

She wanted to bring her friend and like the caring person I am I agreed, knowing he friend would also need to stay overnight :-). We spoke on the phone and she told me she was making her way and then after that the calls remained unanswered. I sent a text saying that I had bought her a beautiful gift and would help her out financially and that I was upset she had let me down, but she did not take the bait. I don't know whether other members have been stung like this, but worth bearing in mind even when you feel sure about the girl. We even chatted cam to cam, I met her friend on line and all seemed to be going well. Anyway it only cost me 1000 pesos and was an interesting life experience

Well that's unfortunate but worth the gamble in my view. You have to realize that Pagadian is a highly depressed town with no future. I know this since becoming good friends with a woman from that town who now lives in Cebu.
She has moved her sisters and mother to Cebu in hopes of a better life!

Hooked up last night with another chat mate from DIA. We have chatted for the last few months, she is a respectful girl from Camiguin Island working as a housekeeper in Cagayan and with a kid who lives with her grandfather in Camiguin. I took her and her kid shopping this morning in Gaisano shopping mall before sending them on their way. Is it me or what, but the shop service or lack of it drives me insane. There was a big sale on today with 10% off everything. Once you have selected your item you have to take it to a floor assistant who then calculates the sale price (the actual price less 10%) before writing it down on a slip and sending you to a cashier. The cashier then (slowly) examines the slip of paper and rings the amount up on the till. She then writes on the slip of paper you just brought before filing it away. Your printed receipt is then stapled to the carrier bag and you are sent on your way. WTF no wonder the queues were enormous, I actually threw one item back on the display because I was so angry at the delays.
Anyway I got rid of the family and went mall exploring this afternoon. I found both the Gaisano mall and Limketkai Malls like shooting fish in a barrel and I had far greater success in both malls than I have ever had in places like Ayalla in Cebu City. I am no oil painting but had scores of women (some too young) making eye contact, slowing down as they walked past or smiling. I tried my hand stopping and chatting to a few, got carried away by early success and came away with at least a dozen numbers. Gaisano was my last stop and I saw a cute thing on the top floor looking at the movie show times. She was gorgeous, 22 with legs to die for and a slim body that made me hard just thinking about it. We talked about going to see a movie later and I suggested going back to my place first for a shower and she agreed immediately and so off we went.

Just thought I would write about my experience before heading out to go big gaming again tonight but first some food. I am so sick of fast food and Phillipine food that I would kill right now for a plate of wholesome vegtables, that I cannot seem to find anywhere. The only thing remotely resembling a plant seems to be salad bars (if you are lucky) or some disgusting vegtable dish called chop suey, which is basically over cooked bits of vegtable in a sauce resembling vomit. Am I missing something guys, does anyone know where I can get some wholesome cooking here in CDO?
ps If there are spelling mistakes in my report it is because the free hotel internet comes supplied with a keyboad that does not always function properly, especially the letter r key. I have been through my report to add an extra 'r' here and there where required but more than likely I may have missed one o two :-)

Sound like the friend of your date beat you to the punch, she would have been stuck there with out a date while you and her friend got busy.
Everyone plays game to some extent, it only cost you 1000peso.
I learned from someont couple of years ago to insist the girl borrow the money from someone and she will pay them back double when she returns. (normaly about under $10 for bus trip to Davao, less than the cost of the Western Union fee). It is easy money for the loaner, and no risk for you.
The girl that let me down is from Pagadian and not Ozamis, the two girls from Ozamis did arrive in CDO, although a day later than planned (filipina time keeping at its best or worst depending on your point of view). I ended up not meeting the girls from Ozamis simply because she told me (after arriving in CDO) that she only wanted to meet me for a chat and coffee and that she would not come back to my hotel. Whether this was just her way of maintaining an air of respectability or what I do not know, but I was not prepared to waste my time on this venture. Yes I know we are all players and I am not levelling any criticism at the girls, I knew the risks involved, the money was insignificant to me and it was interesting just to see what happened.
Anyway following a recommendation from a fellow board member, I ended up at a restaurant called Greenhaven last night. It purports to be a Mongolian Vegatarian Restaurant and I was in desperate need of some leafy green vegatables so thought I would give it a try.
There was a buffet for 250 pesos including meat options, you help yourself to everything and they will make a soup from it or stir fry it. Not bad at all, the cuts of meat were good quality and lean and loads of vegatables to satisfy my cravings.
This place is situated outside Limketkai and really comes alive at night with loads of bars, discos, coffee shops and clubs and there was an abundance of girls around. It is only 5 minutes walk from the Malberry Suites and well worth checking out if you are in the area late at night.
The woman I met from Camiguin the other night has just sent me a text proclaiming her undying love. She has asked if she can come round again when she gets back from Camiguin later today because she wants my baby.....I think that is Filipina talk for "get me out of my life of poverty and take care of me"

X Man I didn't go simply because I made the mistake of bringing a larger than needed samsonite hard suitcase and it is a pain to transport around....learnt my lesson as I normally bring a carry on bag. Also I heard all kinds of conflicting reports, I love a nice beach but some mongers have told me it is all pebble and shingle whilst others mentioned there are lovely beaches. I myself prefer the soft sandy type of beach, clean water and free of refuse. I guess you will tell me I have made a mistake by not visiting Camiguin !!
I have tried the chop suey but they always cook it in a fishy sauce that looks like vomit with the same consistency. What I really want to find is somewhere that I can eat broccoli, cabbage, carrots, spinach or such like that is gently steamed or boiled without being smothered with oil or smelly sauces, but I think that is just wishful thinking. Will have to come and open my own restaraunt next year when I retire, or find a Filipina wife who can home cook
I have read back on most of the threads relating to CDO but nowhere has anyone mentioned MacArthur Park, literally a stones throw from Gaisano mall. I have wandered past the park and through the park several times during my stay and it is always busy and full of girls all ages types and sizes. They all appeared to be very friendly and I figured in my peverted way that it may be a potential pick up spot for freelancers or just regular girls. Anyway two evenings ago I thought I would chance my luck, nothing ventured nothing gained as they say! After literally 5 minutes in the park I came across a girl sitting on the ground alone and started chatting. Turns out she was 19, very slim and atractive but with an air of innocence. I spent 15 minutes breaking the ice and getting to know her and asked her to join me for some food if she was hungry. She seemed reluctant at first and after some persuasion she agreed. During the ice breaking stage I ascertained that she had never ever been with a Western guy before and that she had only one boyfriend before. It did seem especially odd that she was there alone, not waiting for friends or anything and she told me she just liked to hang out there to relax....how strange? Off we went to Lexis Grill for a fish and rice supper and I spent the next hour or so happily chatting to my new found friend. She appeared nervous and shy so I tried to take a soft approach and when the time was about right I asked her did she want to come back to my hotel. She instantly agreed and I started feeling a swelling in my trousers almost immediately with the anticipation of what (I thought) was about to happen. We took a taxi back, got to the room and after putting on the TV I made my move. She was not having any of it, she would only let me kiss her but not on the lips and I had more chance of winning the lottery than having sex with her. To say I was frustrated and pissed off was an understatement and even the bribe of a new cell phone fell on deaf ears ( OK I was desperate by now). She was either very naive, stupid or probably both to come back to a hotel room with a complete stranger and it just shows the danger some of these girls expose themselves to. I behaved like a gentleman and although I was angry inside, I just maintained a pleasant disposition with her all the time. Anyway I took a cab back into town dropped her off at home near the bus terminal and went hunting for fresh pussy.
Anyway you guys, do check out the park it is full of potential, I am sure if I had been staying longer in CDO then this girl was probably available after a few dates. As for me I went off to look elsewhere, see my next report :-)
