I have not stayed at the Westin, but have been to the bar many many times. I was told this hotel (unlike other 5 stars in GZ) is completely girl friendly, you can bring them up any time of the night, even to bring two girls.

Problem is, it is hard to find quality in GZ. The bar (Q-bar) always fashion a few SW but they are usually older, but speaks good English, so if you are not picky, you can always have someone in your room.

I would like to stay somewhere comfortable and although reviews of the Garden Hotel are great, I am a little hesistant. I have stayed in other "5 Star Hotels" in Asia only to realise that its not really 5 Star by Western Standards.

Would appreciate anyone else's thoughts on the Westinn.

There is plenty of action to be had around the Panyu Hotel. In fact, this is my usual hunting grounds. However, due to recent crackdowns in the area, I am hesitant to post exact names and locations on the public forum for the time being. This is why I suggested to send you by PM. If things ever get back to normal, I may chance my stance and post openly.
