I can’t comment on AFF in the United States because I play only in Asia, and mostly in Indonesia. But I can tell you for sure that AFF Malaysia and Thailand are both excellent sources for freebies, and I plan to try Vietnam within the next month. One way to avoid standing in the queue is to approach one of the Immigration Officers standing on the right-hand side. In fact, when they see you walking towards them, they will come up to you to ask what you need.

Make sure you have Rp 50,000 in between the pages of your passport, and say, "Minta tolong, Pak." He will flick through the pages, see the money, and ask you to walk through and wait, while he goes into one of the rooms and gets your passport stamped. It used to be very rampant previously, and stopped for about a year, but it seems this "special service" is back, as I made use of it just last month.

Being a regular visitor, I have made it a habit of putting money in my passport when I go in, AND when I leave (even when I queue up). It prevents the hassles of being continually asked what I am doing making so many trips to Jakarta.

It's amazing the change in their attitude once they see the money, and even the female officers (some of whom are quite pretty!) flash a smile.

the visa booth is different from the immigration booth, did you approach the immigration booth without getting the visa 1st, or did you get a visa 1st then sli[ the Rp50.000 at the immigration booth.

I wouldn't wanna line up for the visa, is there a quick way?

Is there a good place to buy an inexpensive cell phone that uses a phone card for adding time? How much? I don't want to buy a monthly subscription as I will only be there for a few weeks, and I don't want to spend lots of money. Just enough to call my girlfriends. Thanks in advance for your advice.

I have said a couple of times that we are all damn lucky to be playing in Indonesia, whether at the 5-star-hotel hooker bars or the Kota knock-shops or at Blok-M. I think that good luck carries over into AdultFriendFinder, especially if you are a bule.

Go back through the past several screens worth of messages and read what Mangga and Mandiri and Pak Mike (maybe some others also) have to say. I agree with what they have said about the motivations and behavior of the wanita jelita (lovely ladies). But here is my similar story.

I have met dozens of women from Jakarta that I found on AFF in the 4 months since I bought a membership, which costs me around US$12 per month. There are more expensive options for membership, but I went with the budget-ticket. Dozens means more than 30 ladies for those of you keen on miscellaneous details (grin).

Only one woman asked me for money. That was for her taxi fare, which I usually offer anyway, unless I have reason to believe that my friend is very well-heeled and may be offended by the offer. Depending on where the lady lives in relation to my central-Jakarta hotel, I give anywhere from 50k to 150k for taxi on my own initiative. Menteng gets 50k, and Bogor or Bekasi gets 150k, if you wonder how I decide, but I’m not perfect on my knowledge of greater Jakarta geography. Only the one woman (a classy 40-something Sundanese sales promoter) asked for it, and she asked by sms before she ever got into the taxi to come see me.

And just like some others have reported, a few women were shocked (borderline offended) that I offered them even taxi money. One that I gave 100k to gave me back 80k smiling sweetly and telling me that her parking at the hotel was only 20k. She had driven herself there, same as a paediatrician (yes, a medical doctor), a university lecturer, and a couple of wealthy tai-tais (married wives). They all have their own cars, and good jobs. This is one reason they like bules. Less chance that we will be patients or ex-students, or spouses of neighbors, etc.

Two weeks ago I had a three-some (yes, there are also women who hunt in pairs on AFF under the category “couples: 2 women”) Life is really too good in Indonesia (full smile). One was an older engineer (late 30’s) and her friend was a secretary (20-something). After a really fantastic session, I slipped 50k each into their pockets (for taxi-mu). While the younger one was in the toilet putting on lipstick, the older one handed me back my 50k, telling me that it was nice of me, but that I should give only to the younger one because her salary isn’t so high. Implicit message was “I have my pride”. Incidentally, I did her again, by herself, over her lunch hour the very next day. Wonderful!

For the sceptics reading this, there are definitely some women who are hooking for dollars or SugarDaddies on the AFF site, and their profiles say so explicitly. The code words are “looking for generous men”, or “take me shopping”, or “want to be treated as a courtesan”. My guesstimate is that maybe 1 out of 15 or 1 out of 20 profiles are like this, at least explicitly. Single digit percentage only, and I simply avoid those women. Many more may well be open to the cash-for-gash trade-off, but we all know how sweet the women can be, even though they may not have much money. When I want to pay (which is still often – grin), then I prefer to call one of my done-her-before “sure thing” professional friends, or go look for fresh pussy myself at BATS or D’s Place.

Finally, for those of you convinced that AFF is a scam in terms of the site itself ripping you off, I think that is nonsense. Sure they charge a fee, and if you are worried about not being able to cancel your credit card, just send them a money-order like I do. I can’t risk any unexplained charges on my cards because my wife vets the bills carefully. Still not persuaded, then do an internet search on AdultFriendfinder, or on the founder, Andrew Conru. Even the Wall Street Journal has been writing about how “Adult” dating sites flourish all over the world as people choose sex over love. Good for all of us friends of Jackson (smile again). Remember we are here to share experiences about meeting women for sex. Not only meeting women that we pay for sex. Hubba-hubba!

It's easy to get a second hand cellphone (they call them hand phones in Jakarta or "hp's", pronounced "ha pay"), also they refer to used ones as just "seconds". You can find loads of them in Ambassador mall and numerous other places. Generally they are quite cheap as they are still such a fashion accessory that as soon as new model comes, the old ones are worthless.

If you have an old US or UK one which only works on a specific network you can get them unblocked in Ambassador so they take local SIM card .

As you appear to have access to internet, here are links to maps which will show you where Ambassador Mall and Roxymas mall are located. Any dumb taxi driver, half blind and deaf, would get you there. The problem may be where you'll want to go after that .....

On the other hand, the shopping mall behind Pasaraya is called Malawai plaza and they have an upper (3rd ?) floor where I have seen some scarce shops selling phones and phone cards. I wouldn't go there for buying a phone.

Go to either Ambassador mall or ITC Roxy Mas (Shopping Mall), which is so big and packed with only phone shops, it will get you dizzy.

Although all the suggestions for places like Ambassador and Roxy Mas are completely accurate in that they are the cheapest place to buy a phone, you can buy a 2nd hand phone at Pasa Raya itself quite easily as well. As long as you are just looking for a cheap model, it won't make alot of difference where you pick it up. They sell them in the bottom level of Pasa Raya opposite Ace Hardware. I bought mine at Blok M plaza which is a mall fairly close to Pasa Raya. Brand new, mine cost 400,000 rupiah. But I bought one of the older model nokias with no camera functionality. You can find them for upwards of 5 million, and if that's what you're looking for then definitely go to Ambassador or Roxy Mas.

I also often used a guy who works at the Golden Bird taxi counter, where for Rp 100,000 per head, he can meet you/guests from the plane and escort you through Immigration. I have sent him an sms on whether he can handle the "Visa On Arrival" so that you won't have to queue up, and how much he would charge.

5) Marioboro on Hayum Wuruk has awesome facilities and lots of great selection in an upscale environment. But while the sex is gauranteed the massage isn't!

I have sms-ed my Golden Bird contact and this is what he can do:

1. Let him know in advance via sms your arrival date/time/flight number. Please be informed that he works in shifts, and there are many Golden Bird counters where he can be stationed --so some advance arrangement is needed.

2. On your arrival, there are escalators/steps that you go down after disembarking from your plane. He will be waiting for you at the bottom of the steps with your name on a sheet of paper.

3. He will walk with you to the "Visa On Arrival", take your documents and deal directly with the Immigration Officer without having to queue. While this is being done, you will wait for him nearby the "Visa On Arrival" counter.

4. After that, he will walk with you to the Immigration counter where he will "clear" you through, and you wait for him near the smoking area/toilet entrance. He will handle the Immigration formalities for you.

For this, he would like to charge RP 150,000 per head (he claims that he has to give at least Rp 100k to the officers at both counters). For those who are interested, you can send me a PM, and I will provide his name and mobile phone number. For god's sake, don't even for a minute think I am getting a commission out of this!!

I find that the downside of this arrangement is that sometimes there are NO QUEUES at all when you arrive, but you will still have to pay him for showing up! :(

DICK NASTY --> I pay the RP 50,000 at the Immigration counter, as I don't need a Visa On Arrival, being Malaysian.
