OK, point taken.

But I seem to recall quite a few reports of angry students, or wierd guys taking guns into schools and murdering large numbers of people in mass slayings. The Unabomber, Quite a few similar events, and these were in fairly innocuous places, not the Bronx.

As for travel advisories. What a bunch of hypocritical rubbish.

A shooting of a few people in the Phils and every western government in the world issues a travel advisory.

3, 000 people are murdered in a day in the US. No travel advisory. A whole lot of people get murderd in an attack on the London transportation system, no travel advisory.

A lot of people get murderd when a train is bombed in Madrid. No travel advisory.

That stuff is bullshit, pure and simple.

Dirty Duck, Crystal Palace and Dollhouse bars were raided last night and some of the DH body paint girls were hauled away. Anybody on the ground in AC see it go down? Just what this town needs; another raid. If they are not careful, these idiots may yet kill the golden goose.

That equates to 1. 1 million murders in the US per year, or double the amount of Americans killed in both World War I and II combined (which is about 600k).

Several posts ago, I posted a link to a UN database comparing the murder rate across many countries. The US murder rate is 18% lower than the Philippines in 2008.

I agree crime in AC is exaggerated. But you don't discredit one exaggeration by making another. The utter disregard for science around here is quite frightening, even from senior members. Newbies are invited to read this forum with a bit of scepticism and not think a Senior title makes them more credible.

I don't think he was suggesting that 3000 people are murdered every day in USA.

The difference with the 3, 000 in one day analogy is that is that an every month / year / decade occurrence. Where kidnapping, murder, for such a small country is common.

If you google. You will see that the Philippines has a higher murder rate per capita than the USA

Travel advisories are rarely issued in reaction to a single incident. Reasonable people understand tragedies like the Oslo shooting can take place anywhere anytime.

On the other hand, the Philippines have active Islamic and Communist insurgencies for decades. If there were a low-grade civil war in the USA, a travel advisory against the US will be completely warranted.

I should point out that the US advisory against the Philippines is only for troubled areas in Mindanao. The advisory is narrow in scope and completely reasonable.

Has restaurant on site and room service. Quiet location (I like that). Everything is within 2 minutes walking. All the others you mentioned are within a block or two I think. Prices will differ. I understand good things can happen there.

These kind of things have been talked about so much. There is even a section for accommodations in AC that you can read. Reading that thread and this thread will probably answer most of your questions and the fact that you mention those places means you probably already have a good ideal about the place.

But Kokomos has large bedside mirror, disco lights, and dance table in some of their rooms! It's starting to tilt the balance to Kokomos. I'm just not sure how clean / unclean the rooms are and how the service is so wanted some sage advice from here. I've been reading up on all the posts diligently for my research, just haven't had a chance to contribute. But will be soon! Can't wait!

I need to look that up. I've just been following this thread and almost read every post in this thread and I got to say that this is the most informative forum that I've found. Another forum and Sammy don't even come close!

Yeah, I've been doing alot of research but haven't found anything specifically about the room and surroundings of those hotels that I've listed. I've found info that these are the places right in the middle of the action. I read that Kokomo's has disco lights and dance table in room (stripper pole maybe?)? Can anybody confirm?

Also you where are flying into manila or clark, manila will be around 2 hours from angeles and it runs about 4000-5000 pesos I have a place where they send a car to pick you up for around 3000 pesos let me know if you need the number

Putting me off, thats for sure.

Filipino's are well known for shooting themselves in the foot. Think I might stay away until they come to their senses, if ever.
