Actually different go-gos have different styles of music.
One was playing a lot of hip-hop :( (Rainbow 4)
Another had a lot of techno/house. (Baccara)
Another had ancient rock and latin :) for oldies like me. (Long Gun)
Another even have some Issan mor-ram (folk dance) late in the evening. (Suzi Wong, Angel Witch)
Not every gogo plays the same music at all, even if certain Lady Gaga songs seem incredibly popular.

Starts to drive you nuts if you go to a few places in the same night and hear the same songs 3 or 4 times
I'd love to see the girls dancing to some new interesting music

Black Eyed Peas, I only know "Shuddap" and "Your Humps". Not a big hip-hop fan.

Dont you think its because this is the most popular music all over right now?? I heard these songs all the time in november last year and came to like them a lot, but of course they gets boring after hearing them a couple of 100 times...

All I'm saying is why can't they have just one bar that plays some stuff that isn't so mainstream and obvious?
Bring in some real DJs once in a while
If you're a venue where music is being played for 6 hours or so every night, you'd think you'd put a little effort into making it interesting
Seems like it would liven the atmosphere a bit

Some bars I will admit repeat their songs. There was one bar I went to that I could guarantee that I'd hear 10 songs played in the evening. Just drove me nuts. They had a music library of multiple thousands but the mamasan would repeatedly play the same music.

Shut Up is old. Actually "My Humps" is too, and it's the girl singer Fergie's solo single, not the group's. They had a new album out this past year which went straight to top of charts (as theirs usually do). But it's always been like that, when something's hot it gets played to death. I remember days when I thought if I heard "Thriller" one more time I'd puke.
I barely notice what they're playing. Weirdest was once in that one biggish Phuket gogo (includes "rock" in the name) they were playing some old Paul McCartney like Admiral Halsey or something like that. Bizarre.
