Mid October. Around the 19th. Any special events going on around that time in AC?
I am planning to be there 17th - 20th in case you want someone to show you around.
Will be staying at Lewis Grand like always.
You might want to pony up and pay to be a ISG member capable of receiving PM.
OK, point taken.
But I seem to recall quite a few reports of angry students, or wierd guys taking guns into schools and murdering large numbers of people in mass slayings. The Unabomber, Quite a few similar events, and these were in fairly innocuous places, not the Bronx.
As for travel advisories. What a bunch of hypocritical rubbish.
A shooting of a few people in the Phils and every western government in the world issues a travel advisory.
3, 000 people are murdered in a day in the US. No travel advisory. A whole lot of people get murderd in an attack on the London transportation system, no travel advisory.
A lot of people get murderd when a train is bombed in Madrid. No travel advisory.
That stuff is bullshit, pure and simple.
D.
The decision to travel is your sole responsibility, Countries issue Travel Advisories to provide it's citizens with up to date information. Most Western Countries if not all issue travel warnings to every other Country Including travel to the US.
Since this board discusses travel to the Philippines you are getting the travel warnings to the Philippines, and Not to the US.
Below is the link to Australian travel advisory to it's citizens on travel To the US.
I am a US citizen and used the Australian Travel warning link simply because it was the first I found and for no other reason.
Oh, there's an AC accommodations thread? I need to look that up. I've just been following this thread and almost read every post in this thread and I got to say that this is the most informative forum that I've found. Another forum and Sammy don't even come close!
Yeah, I've been doing alot of research but haven't found anything specifically about the room and surroundings of those hotels that I've listed. I've found info that these are the places right in the middle of the action. I read that Kokomo's has disco lights and dance table in room (stripper pole maybe?)? Can anybody confirm?
My preference is Royal amsterdam Hotel. It is in the heart of the entertainment. The rooms are clean with nice beds. There are many options for different rooms with price.
For a newbie, better stay right on Fields avenue to get the bearings. Second visit you can look for cheaper accomodations elsewhere.
Hi, I'm making my virgin trip to AC in October and was thinking about these hotels that are close to the action: Orchid Inn Resort, Pacific Breeze, Central Park Hotel, Kokomos.
Anybody stayed at these hotels? Recommendations for one over another?
Your help is greatly appreciated. I'll return and post my field report when I get back.
Thanks
I recommend Pacific Breeze, $50-60 per night, great pool, good security (when the girl leaves your room after the deed is done the security guy at the door calls your room to ask if everything is good, you say yes then she is allowed to leave).2 mins walking distance to the action but far enough that is not noisy. I have been staying at this place for the past few years, my last trip was mar 2011, I'm heading back there in Nov, got some sweet flight tickets from HK return trip incl tax HK$620 with tiger airways. If you need some good info check out philippinesaddicts forum

September Trip Report
i've just returned from ac. i'll get straight to the point. the regular barfine is 1, 800 pesos (around $42) now in most places on fields. i don't know about the perimeter bars. my guess is they are a little less. i don't know if the 1, 800 pesos can be negotiated down if you want the girl only for a couple of hours after which she can come back to work. maybe yes and no depending on the bar and / or the mamasan. it might also help if you are a good negotiator. although the girls these days seem to stay only a couple of hours no matter what, so maybe it's not negotiable.
also, i only got 42 pesos for a dollar at the money changer. before 100 dollars a day used to be enough for a night of fun. (of course, as long as you don't stay in a hotel like the lewis grand or the abc.) but now maybe you need at least 150 dollars a day. and a lot more for big partiers.
each trip there are always these two or three little bars that creep up. i tried a few of them. they all turned out to be disappointing. they seemed to be operating on a skeleton budget. the interior was nothing to rave about. but that was my experience. others may have better ones. they were on lower fields avenue in case you are wondering where they are located.
the black crossbar that holds the ping pong ball basket above the stage in genesis is a little bent in the middle. what happened was this dude was on stage and he grabbed the crossbar with his both arms and pulled himself up a number of times. and the dude was at least 200 pounds, perhaps even more. the manager seemed to be upset and told him to get off the stage immediately. i guess it's not always a good idea for a dude to get on the stage. the customers want to see girls on the stage, not dudes.
the 'carousel' in carousel doesn't rotate anymore. they said it was broken. it's not as fun to watch the girls without the rotating stage. the girls do rotate on their own though. i wonder who's doing the pace-making. but the rotating stage is their trademark. i hope they get it fixed very soon.
crystal palace and atlantis are always busy as hell. it's very hard to find a decent seat in those places.
with every trip, the police presence on fields seems to get heavier and heavier. fields seems to be very safe at night. if you venture away from fields, that may be another story.
a few tips and infos. when you leave out of clark field, your airport fee is 600 pesos. plus you will need 300 pesos for the taxi. so you should have at least 1, 000 pesos when you leave your hotel for the airport. there's nothing to buy at the airport and the food is crappy. also, don't put your umbrella in your carry-on luggage. i made that dumb mistake and the security dude confirep001ed mine. i guess he's having fun with it now because it was a good one. they must think an umbrella can be used to whack the pilot or something.
this wasn't a full report. but i hope it helps.
love your writing.
as a newbie to the forum, i've been contacting various laidies in the pi. one happens to live in angeles, walking distance from options and central park hotel. would i be correct in assuming: a) she would be familiar with what happens on fields ave. be) the interesting places don't show up on google map much see) it might be bad mojo mongering walking distance from where a gf knows everybody by name? your opinion would be appreciated.
jack,
thank you for the compliments. welcome to isg and, more specifically, my loyal readership. now as to the question of your lady friend, if she lives in angeles city she knows of the matters of commerce on fields avenue without a doubt. in fact, chance favors that she has actually sold salmon and peeled bananas. finally, it is a terrible idea to have a girlfriend from or in angeles city, especially being a sex tourist. such a matter is likely to be a source of much vexation as you shall see.
best regards,
cm
Dirty Duck, Crystal Palace and Dollhouse bars were raided last night and some of the DH body paint girls were hauled away. Anybody on the ground in AC see it go down? Just what this town needs; another raid. If they are not careful, these idiots may yet kill the golden goose.
I was outside, I saw the raids on the Duck and Dollhouse. I actually went to Crystal Palace last night, still had a good amount of girls working, seemed like a few dance teams were missing. Dollhouse only had a handfull of girls working, I actually saw a few walking up and down the street. The duck was completely closed. I spoke to most of the duck girls the night it happened. Most of them seemed to avoid the raid. I saw a few being hauled off crying. Made for a bad night alot of the bars closed in fear they would get raided and in order to protect their girls, alot of the girls ended up at the sky trax on both nights.
Another free fact for newbies. How many guys do you think go to AC and try to pick up the non-bar girls? Why bother going to AC and deal with the drama of local girls, because IMHO that is where you will GET in trouble with the locals. Where else can you go and pay appox $25 for a 18 year old GFE? If you want to meet girls on the internet, stay in Manila or go to Cebu, do not waste your time in AC.
I just returned from 8 days in AC yesterday and I seen first hand local girl drama. I had a couple of young guys with me and they picked up local hotel employees. First the girls were looking for fun, but then the drama started (I thought you loved me) and overall they told me that they would of enjoyed AC a lot more if there had not been any drama. Go to the bar and pay them to leave.
Robb
I agree I made the mistake, first girl went smoothly I never called her back, three other girls have been knocking on my hotel door early in the morning, waiting for me around corners. I mean knocking and not leaving, first girl came 3 am last night, kept knocking, this morning two more episodes of the same shit. Claiming I must pay for their transportation home if I don't want her to stay.

My Gratitude
Thank you all for answering my questions and supplying great recommendations! I will definitely check out the links and the recommended hotels. Maybe I'll switch hotels after a couple of days just to try them out and report it here.
Dflostrife, I'm flying from Hong Kong to Clark and I can only find Cebu Air with a flight out. It's about HK700 round trip (plus HK100 for baggage option). Clark is about 20 minutes away? So probably easier if I take a taxi / jeepney there.
PBunny, I can only take a long vacation once every couple of years so I don't know if there's value to pay the ISG membership. But I will be on the internet while I'm there (assuming the advertised wifi works in the hotel rooms). Maybe I can post what bars I'll be at those days and we can meet up have a drink. BTW, I'm traveling in a group of 4 so if you see 4 bumbling fools that's us! Haha.
Oh, I also see you posting on the Dongguan thread. The first part of our trip Oct 15. Oct 19 we'll be in Changping.

Casa
Hi,
Is there a Casa in Angeles City? I mean not a bar or similar stuff.
-
Claiming I must pay for their transportation home if I don't want her to stay.
Yes, if you mentioned in chat you want to meet her, and she spends her own dime to get to you, its a reasonable request on her part that you give her money not only to head home (whether you partake of her or not) , but also her fare there. Many girls have to borrow the money (even if its small) to get a jeep or tryke to get to your location. They have not a single peso in their purse upon arrival. If you don't give her something to get home on, she could be stuck. Even if she gets the date or time wrong when she comes to you, even if you already have another girl in your room and don't want her there, step outside and slip her 100 or 200 to get her home and get rid of her. Otherwise she might end up calling you or knocking on your door incessantly.

cm
thanks. i understand. she has been trying to steer me away from fields ave. obvious reasons. and if i were to accept her as gf, i would find a different place to monger. i'd guess that one or two sisters have worked that area, from what i don't ask. and that one sister doesn't work the call center. and it could be three for three. but one pretends that a potential gf has the same rules i pretend to have. my tastes run to over age 25, and i just have to accept that a woman weighing 110 lbs in angeles thinks she is fat. if worst, i could take a side trip to pattaya.

Why? Why does a new poster ask such a question? Sorry for being such a cynical guy, but I would not touch this with a ten foot pole.
