In general, I don't dwell on this stuff much when I meet a chica in Sosua because I know what Sosua is about, but anything is possible. I thought it was a bit bizarre though for 3 to tell me the same thing. Obviously, this has no correlation, that I know of, with your situation, other than it reminded me of my last trip.

It could be that with the economy offering so little employment that there are more chicas trying their hand at gringo catching, or it could be that with increasing access to the Internet, more chicas are able to make contacts and get away from controling families. Or it could just be BS.

Obviously with hundreds, if not thousands, of new chicas coming on the market every year, it can't be too unusual to snare first timers, especially if you avoid the most ostentatious and aggressive chicas. A lot of girls go out night after night without being taken, especially if they lack marketing skills or good looks.

Of course, as I said before, the real interest is not so much a question of a kind of gringo virginity cult, but the fact that they may be more sexually aroused as a result of stepping into unknown territory.

Many DR chicas cannot send a text message with their photo to another cell phone, supposedly they have to have multimedia for their cell phone. One chica told me that she can send photos in Blackberry messenger. I usually save a chica's name in my cell with the first few letters of her name, then maybe sd for santo domingo, or lv for la vega, or st for santiago. I have numerous Marilyns, Karens, Lilly, and others with the same name. I get them mixed up, some I can't remember their face. Would be helpful if I could receive a photo of their face in my cell, from their cell. I don't like to put full names, because some chicas are like spies and will go through my cell, if they get the chance, a name saved liked marsd, I can always say is Mario a male friend from the states, blah blah blah.

Thanks![/QUOTE]You can change money at a reasonable rate of exchange at the BanReservas bank that is on the OUTSIDE concourse of the airport, not the ripoff change booth next to the tourist card counter inside the airport. Do this before you get in the taxi.

Another alternative is that you just tell your taxi driver that you need to get change on the way and he will take you by ¨Change Corner¨ in Sosua, just round the corner from the New Garden and you can change currency without getting out of the taxi.

Banks are closed weekends and holidays and open until about 4 30 pm on weekdays, but there are several cambios in Sosua where you can change money at all hours and days. Just walk along the street and men will say Chench, Chench. This means they are offering to change money for you.
