Odd for a person whom is not allowed in Patong to visit so often. Why are you not asking questions except you have no plans to visit Patong or probably never been to Thailand.

Was reading that the Thara Patong suddenly has a joiner fee. Before I go into my story, the Baan Laimaai does not have a joiner fee. Negotiate up front and you'll have no problem. At least in October of '05, it was fine. Staff is great there...

Regarding the Thara, I had stayed there for most of the past decade, and have never had a problem with joiners at any time. Been there at least 10 times. I have had a variety of other problems, like an air conditioner that DIED in the middle of a heat wave, a few burn holes in the old section on a bedsheet, but everything else was great. Loved the staff, and the management always gave us 4 nights for the price of 3. Until my last trip.

I found it amazing that the Thara first tried to charge me 3400b a night for the room WITHOUT having company join me. I asked to speak to the manager and it just got worse. When I arrived there, they had the exact same rooms for 1400b a night through a travel agent, but I only found that out AFTER I had booked somewhere else. The reservation manager is a complete asswipe.

As I walked along Thaweewong Road and Soi Bangala area, I realized all of the hotels averaged about 1400-1900b a night with no joiner. Some (including the hotel right next to the brutally overpriced and horrible Savoy restaurant--do the market instead) was giving two nights for the price of one.

It was beyond stupid.

If anyone can give me links to apartment hotels (that are along the lines of the Royal President in BKK), PM me. And thanks.

I agree with the various posts on here that Patong Beach has indeed changed and the prices are way higher than they were pre-Tsunami. I found the bars to be very lean, the Banana Disco to be rockin' non stop and I'd be really interested to hear what the latest and the greatest is..

And go to the Gonzo bar for me and buy a malibu for the most stunning BG of them all. The Cambodian goddess.

The vast majority of these girls are are not for sale at any price. I think one of the big reasons some Thai people dislike farangs is they think any girl is for sale. Why would you risk shaming innocent girl when there are so many out there that would be more than hppy to please you? Please show some respect to hard working young ladies that have morals, after all, would you think of doing this in your country?

Not only that but its often against the hotel rules for employees to sleep or have sex with guest of the hotel. This will only result in getting them fired.

Just look through the past reports to book a hotel that is GF in your price range. Then, when you get there, you can go to a beer bar, pick up a hot BG and keep her LT. You'll then get your morning "Mike Check".

Depending on the hotel you stay at, sometimes an entrepreneurial bellboy will ask if you want a girl? If you are so inclined, you can tell him what you want, and he will send a girl to your room.

It's best to do your own hunt. Patong has plenty of BG's in the Bangla road area.

Hotel staff probably won't risk losing a good job to suck you off for a few baht. Don't assume that any Thai woman will fuck you for money because they are poor. This way of thinking will get you in trouble.

Dear all,

Have never been to phuket before. Planning a trip soon. Can you all recommend the best location hotel in Patong area (right in the middle of everything where the action is) and the hotel can be 3-4 star clean and have all basic amenities for family stay etc. Not looking for backpackers hotel la.

Also where do you recommend for great sex sessions with great MILF type ladies?

Lovalova - if you're with a family then stay as far away from Patong as possible.

It's the shittest part of the island. Good for girls but nothing else.

I was in Patong last month and was very surprized to see a lot of families with children walking around. Patong was crouded with them. I even saw them walking Bangla Road at night with their kids past all the bars. I would never bring young kids to that area. This time last year, no one was there and the rates were half that of this year due to the Tsunami. I think they must be marketing heavily to tourists with children.

Check out this link to a map of Patong. A lot of hotels are shown on it. Bangla Road is where 90% of the action is. Pick a hotel based on the location and do a search in the forum to find out if it meets your needs. I suggest you ask the hotel directly if they charge joiner fee's. This info may also be in the forum, so use the search function. Some in the forum may just answer your questions with RTFF (Read The Fuck'n Forum). The questions you ask probably have been asked / answered in the forum already. Use the search function, it will save you the time waiting for someone to answer a question.

These fams in Bangla Rd must have been Dutch or German, prostitution is part of the scenery there and no big deal. Thomas Cook has tours of the Amsterdam RLD for families.

I've seen Euro families with kids in the middle of the night in beer bars on 2nd Rd at Soi 2 in Pattaya. No illegal as long as they don't smoke or drink alc.

I remember cruising the RLD in Cologne with my pubescent school buddies for laughs and cheap kicks. Better than beating up old folks and snatching purses. Or doing drugs.

I think the best location is somewhere on Soi Sansabai. Am am now staying at Summer Breeze Hotel, my favorite. Very clean with good food and great staff. Girl friendly.

here are some GOLDEN WORDS that i would like to say after my recent trip last month from thailand, if mongering is your motive, do not go to Phuket, it is a huge waste in that respect, if a holiday for the family is the idea, then it may well be the best portion of thailand for that , however mongering here is a waste, nothing compared to bangkok.
