Wow Dan! -- 300 E IS daft -- and with the US dollar so weak that's even worse for me as a monger. Well, as previously promised, I wanted to report on my recent trip. First off, I need to thank all of you who provided information. It was extremely useful and really helped to steer me in the right direction. The reports on this site as well as some Google searches had me set. All Ibis hotels in Spain charge the same rate for one or two persons in the room and therefore are girlfriendly as long as you book for two in advance and meet with the girl outside or in the lobby and are discreet. However this is a rule, as far as know, valid just for Spain and Portugal. In germany, for instance, you pay something like 10 euros more per night for a second person in the room.
