When it comes to artificial snow, the alps do have a fair share of that too. But I think the detrimental side effects of that are blown out of proportions. Especially considering the cloud seeding tech being used. And it seems the Chinese have been active with cloud seeding this time as well. Just like ahead of the 2008 Olympics.

When it comes to the robots, all of that is old news. But the Chinese consider these things an expo to show off their tech to the rest of the world. But all these robots are years old by now.
